I know one thing for sure. This has been the most exciting slugfest I've ever seen.
Here are the Team Avg.s for the series:
Cleveland:
FG% 40.3 3PT% 29.3 FT% 74.5 OR 10.8 TR 39 AST 18.5 TO 12.5 ST 6.7 BLK 5.3 PPG 84
Boston:
FG% 41.5 3PT% 26.8 FT% 77.7 OR 9.5 TR 39 AST 19.3 TO 13.7 ST 6.5 BLK 3.8 PPG 81.1
By the numbers, this series has really been even. The series has been a war thus far with several hard fouls, and GREAT defense on both sides. The Cavs hold the edge in 3pt%, offensive boards, turnovers, steals, blocks, and have out-scored Boston 504-491. Total rebounding is even, and Boston holds slight edges in FG% (+1.2), FT%(+3.2), and AST(+0.8).
What's that mean? It means the Cavs are outplaying Boston. I know what you're thinking, "Sheep, you just said that the series was even. How does that mean that the Cavs are outplaying Boston?"
Well, Boston has Garnett, Pierce, Allen, and Rondo. Cleveland has LeBron, and 4 guys that would come off of Boston's bench; and LBJ hasn't exactly been lighting it up from the field this series.(Ok, obviously Z would start for the C's, but he's been largley ineffective the past 3 games, although through no fault of his own)
The bench bunch for the Cavs has been key throughout. Joe, Andy, Daniel and the rest have done their jobs on both ends. I've learned something this series about Delonte. DUDE IS A BEAST. He has been terrific on the defensive end, and has done a more than admirable job running the offense when he's been given the ball. Wally has done a nice job knocking down open looks(for the most part) and the combined play of the G's on Allen has been very important.
LBJ has really shown out deffensively as well. He hasn't totally elminated Pierce(not sure you even can), but he's taken him away for long stretches.
KG has been KG, however the Cavs have handled him for stretches as well.
I'm very proud of my Cavs. Regardless of the outcome in game 7(personal opinion is a Cav win), they have proven to the NBA that they are a contender. They are probably a piece or two away from being a dominat force, but #23 makes them tough to beat. Game 7 should be exciting.
We know LeBron wil Rise Up. The question is, will you.

Without a doubt I will rise up. Great blog Sheep, interesting numbers. About Delonte being a beast, yes he is. Hopefully he can stay healthy here in Cleveland and we can do great things...starting on Sunday. Go Cavs!!!
