Sit back and enjoy the show with TMASE

    Hey everyone!

My name is Tiffany aka TMASE and I’ve been a part of the Cavalier Girls Dance Team for three incredible seasons now! We’ve already come a long way since auditions and training camp and now we are just learning, learning, learning! Right now we have tons of routines, mini-routines, and crowd-pleasers that we do at the games to keep everyone really excited.

I feel like some big things are going to happen this year and I’m super excited for this season. I feel like the Cavs are on the brink of a Championship and with now with Shaq, we can’t be stopped! This season is going to be A-MA-ZING!!!!

I love being a part of the Cavalier Girls! All the girls are wonderful and together we are truly a talented team! The team is has become a highly versatile and well rounded squad, which is the perfect recipe for some explosive performances and a killer season. If someone would’ve told me five years ago that I would be a part of THE hottest dance team in the NBA, I would’ve said “yeah right”! The experiences that I’ve had as a Cavalier Girl veteran are unparalleled in comparison to anything I’ve ever done. These are memories that I’ll cherish and remember forever!

My favorite Cavalier Girl moment took place during the 2007-2008 season when we performed during halftime with Day 26! Just the fact that we were performing during halftime was incredible in itself, but the fact that we were dancing with such cool celebrities made the experience all the more exciting.

My favorite Cavalier moment is when during the playoffs against Orlando this past season, LeBron fired a game winning shot from long distance! Talk about an adrenaline rush! It was AWESOME!!!

Before joining the Cavalier Girls, I specialized in lyrical/modern and hip-hop dance styles. However, since I’ve been a part of this team, my dance style is Cavalier Girl dance style! Lol. We truly have a style of our own and I don’t think I could revert back to the way I used to dance, even if I tried! So I’m going to be a Cavalier Girl forever, even after I stop dancing……LOL! Dancing is more than just my job, it lives inside of me! I’ve been dancing for well over fourteen years and it all started with my first tap dancing class in preschool. I think I still have those lil bitty tap shoes! J As a cavalier girl, head whips are a signature move for all of us. Also, I’m now obsessed with doing fouette turns! By the end of the season, my goal is to be able to perform them on my opposite side as well. Outside of my normal Cavalier Girl regime, I’m working on “kip-ups” as well as learning some Krump dancing. So I might have to get with scream team for some tutorials! Lol.

Overall, my past two seasons have been simply amazing! I know we’re all in for an exciting ride! I can’t even imagine the type of wonderful things that are going to take place this season! I just know that I am blessed to be a part of it and you awesome fans make it even more special! Sit back and enjoy the show……….LET’S  GO CAVS!!!!!!

    Smooches,

    ~TMASE

Cassandra is proud to be a Cavalier

Wednesday, November 4, 2009, 01:54 PM EST [General]

    Hi Cavs Fans!

My name is Cassandra but most people call me Cassie or Sandra for short. This is my first season as a Cavalier Girl and I am very excited! This year is going to be amazing!! The Cleveland Cavaliers have grown to be one of the best teams in the NBA and I cannot wait to see what's in store for us this year. The team is working harder than ever this year, and in turn we are doing everything we can to show our support for our Cavs.

I've been a dancer since the age of three. Before I could count to ten, I was studying jazz, hip hop, ballet, lyrical, acrobats, and point. Lol. Though I love them all, of these styles, jazz is my favorite! I would say of all my dancing, I'm really known for my leaps and jumps. Right now as a Cavalier Girl, I'm excited to have the chance to continue the never ending task of perfecting my dancing. Specifically, I'm focusing on improving my hip hop  and learning new styles of dance.

I am so excited to be a member of the Cavalier Girls this season! It's nothing short of a dream come true. I can't believe it! If I could choose one word to describe my experience so far, it would be "proud". I am exceedingly grateful and humbled to have been accepted for this position. It's a wonderful feeling and I feel very blessed to have this opportunity. The season has just begun and so as of yet, I don't have a favorite moment, but I'm very sure there will be many to come.

I can't wait to see everyone this season, and I'm very anxious to see what surprises are in store for this year! I'll see you at the Q as we all show our adoration and support for our Cleveland Cavaliers!! Let's Go Cavs!

Cavalier Girl Amanda says "Ni Hao" from Beijing China!

Monday, October 12, 2009, 03:37 PM EST [General]

Ni Hao Cavalier Fans! It's Amanda from the Cavalier Girls and we arrived safely in Beijing after a long and packed 14 hour flight, and the truth is I don't even feel that jet lagged. I think it is just because I am so excited! Everything here is so interesting and I am trying to take every sight and every moment in. The people here in China LOVE the NBA and love the Cavaliers almost as much as we do. Everywhere we go in our Cavs gear people stare and want our picture and talk about LeBron James! Lol.  We are here to do a performance for the very popular "Tsingtao Beer Dance Passion" reality TV show  that is similar to "So You Think You Can Dance" in the United States, I really hope we can post the show on CavFanatic so everyone can see it. It is going to be great and everyone in China will know what Cleveland has got to offer, which is a lot!

Our first full day here was a free day so we went to climb the Great Wall of China and seriously, I don't think anyone will understand how much of a climb it really was. I thought you just kind of strolled on the wall but it is on top of huge mountains.  We had to take a cable car to the top but it was worth it, the sights were breathtaking. It was a great workout, and actually so strenuous that I tore a hole in my shoe! It was an experience I will never forget, truly one of the best things I have ever done in my life.

After we got back to the hotel from our outing we all took a much needed and much deserved nap. Then we got a call from our NBA contact here in China and she took us out to a dance club in downtown Beijing called "The Kros Nest ." It was quite an experience.  The club played all American rap music so we felt a little at home. We had some Chinese Pizza and tried some Dragon fruit that they put out at the table. If you've never tried it I suggest you do, it is really good. We got back to the hotel pretty early and rested up for today, Monday. Today we are going shopping at the world famous Silk Market and Pearl Market in Beijing.  I literally cannot contain my excitement! After shopping we will have a practice in the hotel and rest up for a long day of show rehearsals on Tuesday. It is a live TV show and everyone here keeps telling us that like it is going to throw us off. I told them that we put on a live show for you guys every game, once or twice or even three times a week so, no worries. We got it! If you are headed to the preseason game tonight show our fellow Cavalier Girls some love! Go Cavaliers!
