Did anyone notice how well we meshed together the moment Delonte West was brought into the picture last week against the Bobcats? As much as the King and his roundtable mean to this team, Brotha Red plays a HUGE factor in the success of our Cavaliers this season.
The first two games of the season weren't lost by a lack of effort but more a lack of intensity on all fronts. Too many of our guys wanted to stand around and watch TheBron take the ball one-on-one (which is NOT what James wants to do) and we paid the price for it against two very good teams. Delonte provided that spark for us off the bench and gave us that extra OOMPF! that we needed.
Now, Wild Wild West faces an eight-count indictment that may carry a penalty of up to three years in prison. He was indicted on two counts of carrying a dangerous weapon, two counts of carrying a handgun, and on count each of reckless driving and negligent driving. C'mon, now. Though it is unknown as to where Delonte was headed with this rich collection of machinery, he didn't kill anyone (cough, Dante Stallworth, cough). He has a serious mental condition and the Cavaliers NEED him on the floor to be successful this year. If he's lost for a long period of time, the Cavaliers could lose all hope in a championship run and possibly lose all hope in holding on to Mr. Cleveland, Ohio. LeBron James.
