Fletcher-Marsh. Where did it start? And how do you make it stop?
It started in Mrs. Wood's 6th Grade homeroom when Brian Marsh met Matt Fletcher. Soon, they were making up a rock band called "Illusion". It had a WICKED cool logo. Okay, maybe not. But it seemed like it at the time. The only things holding them back were... well, instruments and the ability to play them.
Later in high school, the magic began and they formed their own, real, rock band - complete with instruments. They were not exceptionally good, but they were rockin', rollin', and writing original songs together (most were exceptionally not good). Two of their proudest compositions were nearly note-for-note rip offs of KISS and Styx songs. Nobody noticed.
The collaboration continued under many names. After college, the challenges of reality and lining up band members led them to the home project studio, where they really couldn't hurt anyone but themselves. But, alas, a 10-year F-M hiatus ensued when they got married (not to each other) and tended to things like families and jobs.
Then, a guitar-spawn of eBAY awoke the sleeping giant, and Flecther-Marsh was reborn. Older and fatter, maybe, but smack-dab in the digital home recording age where mere mortals wield the mighty power of titans.
And here they are. The songs are better. The playing is better. The singing is better (honestly, you should hear the old stuff). There isn't currently a logo, but when there is... it ought to be better, too. We'll see.
This is Fletcher-Marsh, baby.
