Amazing is all that needs to be said!!!

Tuesday, May 13, 2008, 02:05 AM EST [General]

WOW what an amazing game to watch tonight. I was sitting at home in Florida cheering and screaming my heart out. I knew that if we did the things that we were supposed to do we would tie this series up. I'm so pump right now I don't know what to do with myself. I'm hoping the Lebron dunk will get him on track in Boston bringing us home with a 3-2 lead close this out in front of our fans.

I just can't say enough about Mike Brown the guy stayed out of his own way and made some amazing decisions coaching this game. I'm glad when it came down to it he didn't try changing the rotation he kept the hot guys in to bring this game home. WOW he's finally getting the point on how the rotations need to be and it has shown and been successful.

For the shooters what a fanatic job you guys did. I said in my previous post the shooters needed to be assassins and make Boston pay for thinking that they couldn't shoot the ball the way they did in game three. As a shooter you came through tonight to open up the lanes give Lebron some easy shots at the basket. Not only did you shoot the ball but you used the three point line as a threat to get to the paint off the dribble for either an easy basket or an assist for your teammates. Tonight you played your rolls to perfection.

The front line guys did there job rebounding the ball tonight and not giving them second chance shots. That ultimately helped the team to be successful even when we weren't making shots at certain point in the fourth quarter. I just can't say enough about the pure hustle, determination, focus, energy that everyone brought to the floor. This was a fantastic team win and that's what we're going to need in game five and rest of the way win this series...

The defense as a whole was fanatic there were a few lapses but for the most point everyone did there job and hustled the way it's suppose to be.

For the fans what an amazing job you guys did in Rising up and cheering this team on. As a fan I'm proud to see my fellow Clevelanders standing up, letting the team know how much we care and want them to be successful. So let's all cheer our hearts out to the TV game five and keep sending those positive vibes.

What Cavs have to do make this a 2-2 series!!

Monday, May 12, 2008, 04:00 PM EST [General]

The Cavs played with heart, hustle, and passion Saturday night to get there first win in this series, but we can't stop there we are still down in this series and the underdog. We can't forget how we won and played as a team. I know we probably won't blow them out the way we did but we have to jump on them from the start and not letup the full 48mins. So these are the things we have to do make this 2-2 taking it back to Boston.

Lebron I know that you haven't shot the ball well but we definitely need your shot to come back starting tonight. The team kept the pressure off of you Saturday and shot a high percentage from the field. Yes, you had a great all around game even though Boston said they were going to keep the pressure on you to either make jumpers or make the shooters beat them. You have to continue to take what the defense gives you once you have your opportunity knock down the shot with confidence. Nobody believes that you are going to have a break out game against this team. I believe once you get going you are going to be unstoppable so lets see the superstar we are used to seeing.

The shooters we need you to be assassins against Boston. If you watched the post game conference Kevin Garnett said that the shooters couldn't shoot over 53% from the field again even those you did it in three games against Washington. Every time they leave you open to defend Lebron. You have make plays by concentrating knocking down the three balls, dribbling penetrating or finding open teammates to knock down shots. Each one of you guys need take this as a personal challenge to knock down open jumpers making them pay for thinking that it was a fluke for shooting the way you did last game. Since Boston seems to think that you guys don't really do anything but wait for Lebron to throw you the ball.

The front line play has to continue Z, Joe, Ben and Andy you have to keep rebounding the ball with authority and crashing the boards. There were times that you didn't box out well and gave up easily rebounds and dunks you can't do that tonight you have stay focus and continue to play the way you played last game. You guys are the last line of defense on the defensive end of the ball and the first on the offense end corral all the loose ball get it into the hands of the ball handlers quick as possible for some easy shots. Every chance you get dunk the ball with authority because Boston will block and strip the ball from you.

On the defensive side of the ball please keep your hands up and disrupted the passing lanes. If you're going to foul don't let them make the basket and give up the three point play its one or the other foul shots are the basket. Don't let them waltz in the lane. Give hard fouls let them know nothing will be given easily. Everyone needs to rebound on the defense and offensive end. Don't let them get second chances shots - one and done. The most important thing on this side of the ball is don't let them get a cheap shot on Lebron. We can't continue to be soft if they want to pound him on the offense end, one of us has to give a hard legal foul on one of their stars on the defensive end. Continue to push them out there comfort zone. Lastly be up for the challenge this is our house show them how we play Cavs basketball.

Coach Brown what am amazing job you did last game. The adjustments that were made were right on point. I'm happy you decided to shorten the rotation and let the hot hands stay in the game and play heavy minutes. You have to do the same things tonight let the hot hands play even if Boston goes to the bench leave the starters in and ride them as long and as much as possible to even this series. As Doc Rivers said in the pre-game speech on ABC there goal is to get the lead to ten and then twenty so leave your guys in to build on there own leads and success. I would rather see us get a bigger lead with the hot guys than to risk changing the rotation then we end of getting down in the game. I feel we would have had a better chance to win game two if you would of let the hot guys stay in but you took them out our bench let the lead go and there bench got hot, then there starters came back in and kept the lead and won the game. I rather our guys be tired with a large scoreing margin, then let bench come in maintain the lead. That way we don't have to worry about having overcome a big margin or lose what we work hard to build. After all it begins and ends with you putting the players in a situation to succeed. Make Boston adjust to us not us adjust to them.

I can't say enough about the fans. I was watching the game on TV and I got chills watching the way yawl came out and cheered and yelled it was just an amazing thing to watch. As a fan you took your first step rising up and cheering but you have to be even louder tonight and continue to stay in the game and let the Cavs players know you have there back. I just love watching the way kept giving the team a standing ovation letting them know that you appreciated the hustle and focus that they brought to the game. We took Saturday challenge and rose to the occasion but tonight we have to keep rising to the next level as fans. Let's make this a 2-2 series heading back to Boston.

    Time RISE-UP Be Successful.

Saturday, May 10, 2008, 02:56 AM EST [General]

Hello, Cavs fans. As we know, tomorrow night is a big game for us. Ever since we lost those two games in Boston, I have been thinking, is Boston really that great of a team or is our team not playing with the emotion, fire and desire that we need to win a championship? I know Lebron isn't having the series that we are used to seeing out of him, but that isn't an excuse to not have our role players to step up and help Lebron and Big Z. This is the playoffs, and for some reason I haven't seen that this team really wants it in my opinion. It's easy to say you want to WIN but if you don't get out there and hustle, scratch, and fight and show your opponent that you are here to WIN then why try?

    Offense:

All I see right now is a bunch of players that are trying to WIN by themselves. This isn't the Wizards; that's not going to happen with Boston. I see moments where the Cavs do great things and then they seem to revert back to their old selves. Lebron, you are one of my favorite players in the league, but please don't dribble and dribble pass the ball to the open man; I promise you will get it back. Lebron, you are our Superstar. Right now you are playing like you are lost. Stop turning over the ball and start setting an example for your teammates on the way they need to play for the team to be successful. Big Z, I know that you got hot the other night and wanted to keep shooting, but you had established yourself and was starting to attract the double team. Pass the ball around the horn to the open man. You are too great a passer to just hold the ball let the double team strip it from you. I think at this point in the season everyone should know their roles. Andy, please stop shooting wild shots; your job is to rebound the ball, take charging calls. When you get the open shot, dunk the ball with two hands and authority. Don't go up soft. That goes for everyone else going to the basket. Please don't show the ball to early, focus on making the basket, and worry about the foul second. For all of the shooters on this team, when you get a chance to knock down a shot please focus on the basket and see yourself draining the shot. Also, please just don't stand behind the 3-point line. Use it as a threat to take your defender off the dribble and hopefully either get a better look at the basket, foul or find an open teammate for an even better shot. This is the most important tip for the guards: push the ball for easy baskets. Don't just give the ball to Lebron to pound up the shot clock. Penetrate the lanes and try soften up the defense.

    Defense:

As a team, play one-on-one defense or team defense like a blanket on these guys like they stole something from you. Be aggressive. Please don't stand off them and let Sam, Ray, Posey, Garnett, Paul shoot a three in your face. Close their space and make them shoot over you with a hand in there face at all times. Please everyone keep your hands up and disrupted the passing lanes.

Coach Brown, no time to be passive. You might have to get in your star's face or another player's face. You are the coach. If you want to be a Championship coach, you might have sit the star down or a player that isn't hustling the way you know he is capable of. If a rotation is working, don't change it in the middle. Ride the hot hand until this is the playoffs, not the regular season. You have to remember, you lose four games you go home; you don't have another day to fight. We're down 0-2 already so tomorrow is the day we start climbing out this hole. If Ben can't go I would give Joe Smith a chance to start because we all know Andy isn't an offensive threat. It wouldn't hurt give him a start since everyone else has had and opportunity to. I watched Joe play when he was with the Bulls, and the guy can shoot once he gets in a rhythm. I would tell the guys in the pre-game speech that now it's time to show ourselves, teammates, coaches, fans, and Boston that we aren't going to lay over and die. We can't stand around and see what Lebron is going to do. We have to move without the ball, not wait for him bail us out. We have to help him first so things can open up for him. All year we have said our goal is to win a Championship and now is the time to get your butts in gear and play like a team. This isn't one-on-one, this is a team effort and everyone needs to do their parts. This is not the time to be scared. Everyone needs to bring that fire, passion, intensity, hustle the full 48 minutes. This is our game seven we can't afford to come out sloppy and passive. We have to be the aggressor and put them on there heels. Go to the basket hard and under control dunk the ball with power and aggression. If anyone wants to put their hands up to block the shot, try to break it; no soft junk going to the rim. Lastly, we can't talk about we want to be a champion. We have to go out and play like we are the champions. Take the challenge head on. Let's have fun.

Also, for those folks going to the game, bring the passion and intensity that you need to bring as a fan the full 48 mins. The team really needs the homecourt to be an advantage. Tomorrow give the team confidence to know that not only can they hang with this team they can beat them also. So Cleveland, time for you stand up and cheer this team on so that we can take this series back to Boston 2-2. Put all the pressure back on them. Lets RISE UP like us Clevelanders are known to do.

WOW!! Where is the Emotion and Urgency?

Friday, May 9, 2008, 01:54 AM EST [General]

Hello just like most of the real Cavs fans tonight I'm sure you all are very disspointed after watching this game. I like most probably was very hopeful after only losing by four points on Tuesday night to see how the team would bounce back;after all there aren't any moral victories in sports. After watching the first quarter I felt like we were going to have a great game  the way we came out moving, passing, sharing the ball but things turned quickly in the second quarter.

The Cavs looked like a team with no life in them. Where is the fight the hungry this isn't the regular seasons where you can afford to take a game off. Like the slogan has always been WIN or GO Home and the way the team looked tonight seems like they wanna go home. Where is our Superstar Lebron James I have never seen him play this poorly two straight games before he seems more like a roll player than the star of this team. Where is the emotions that we are used to seeing out him its like he's just going through the motions. I will be the first to give the Celtics credit for there defense on Lebron and the rest of the Cavs but nobody seems to be able to make and open jumper to save their lives. Yes, they may block the paint but what does it matter if you can't make a layup or a jumper once you get inside the lane.

After this game tonight, my blame lies with Coach Mike Brown. He did a great job in the first quarter with the way the team moved the ball. For some reason Coach Brown offense is stagnant most nights and team doesn't communicate. Coach Brown is always taking out the hot hand at the wrong time or inserting the wrong guys in the game at the wrong time. I think he relies on Lebron too much to carry this team to victory. Maybe that's why our superstar is pressing to make the big play for himself and his teammates. I heard Coach Brown say, "The team wasn't aggressive on the offense end of the ball."

It's your job, Coach, to tell them keep going to the rim hard and under control and not settle for outside jumpers. Where is the urgency to let the other teams in the league know you are the defending Eastern Conference champs and we come to play - whether it's in your house or ours?

I can only imagine if we don't digg ourselves out this 0-2 hole we will have to listen another year how our Eastern Conference Championship was a fluke. Better yet give us a coach that only coaches offensive and let Coach Brown deal with the defense since he can't seem to get the offensive side of the ball or rotations together for that matter.

On that note lets hope its not another loss season with the talent that we have in Lebron James and the little bit of help that was added.
