Danny Green is moving a lot better than yesterday, when he slowly got out of bed from that nasty fall off the flagrant foul on Sunday night. It happened so fast he barely had a chance to see and feel the hard foul coming. It did bring back memories in high school when he took a similar fall and tried to break it, but suffered a fractured wrist and elbow. This time he had to land on his back side and take the punishment. It sure is good to be 22 years old and be able to get back off the floor and respond as quickly as he has. However, it’s not certain if he can go against the Grizzlies.

On another note, Cedric Jackson has another 10 day contract. The CSU Viking hasn’t had a chance to get into a full go practice because of the Cavs schedule of playing every day. He’s loving every minute of it though, always staying ready.

The Grizzlies come to town facing Kobe and LeBron back to back as Lionel Hollins told his team after beating the Lakers, it’s not like college, where the next game you might get "Sacred Heart", one night, it’s the Lakers, the next night it’s the Cavs. This will be the 7^th time since LeBron entered the league that teams have had to play Kobe, and then the King in succession. The Clippers recently lost both, and so did the Pacers. Lifetime, teams are 4-12 in this schedule acid test of trying to winning that matchup back to back…

The King keeps racking them up with his the 4th Eastern Conference Player of the Week honor. That means he'll be a good bet to win the player of the month honor again. Last year he won the weekly award 7 times, and now for his career has done it an NBA record 24 times.

The Player of the Week honor included the Oklahoma City game, and the best block to save a game I've ever been a part of. Checking out the photo in the Plain Dealer captures how incredible the reaction was, going over AP to do it. Anthony checked out the picture with LBJ, saying, hey, I got Durant to go off one foot...that's team defense, right!

We may see Jamario Moon for the first time in 10 games tonight in Miami, coming off that lower abdominal strain. He says he feels good, and doctors have given him clearance, but he is still questionable tonight.

Mike Brown made a good point at practice, with Mo Williams now out with his shoulder sprain, hopefully the injury will not stop Eastern Conference coaches from voting for Mo as an All-Star reserve. Therefore, giving him the recognition he deserves, since he’ll only be missing three games when the votes are due early next week.

As one of the premier guards in the conference, from the team with the best record, Mo has earned that status. Coaches have usually weighted their votes heavily toward the top teams anyway. So, in this case, the Cavs, Celtics, Magic and Hawks all deserve at least two stars. That would mean 8 of the 12 players coming from those teams which have been dominant. Unfortunately, Allen Iverson’s starting nod takes a spot away from a deserving All-Star.

In my mind, four guards should be added, and three frontcourt players to complete the list of seven reserves for the East. Chris Bosh, Paul Pierce, and Gerald Wallace are deserving All-Stars up front, with Rajon Rondo and Joe Johnson appearing to be locks in the back court. If you subscribe to the theory the best teams are rewarded, Vince Carter, the Magic’s 2^nd leading scorer or Ray Allen goes, bringing me to Mo. His scoring is down about a point a game, taking about one FGA less per night, while his assists are up one a game. There is little doubt about his role on a team which shares the NBA’s best mark at this writing. Mo should be rewarded for his play, knowing he’ll have to be replaced by a commissioner’s choice.

So, Josh Smith or Al Horford would be a logical 2^nd Hawks selection as a Mo replacement. I know David Lee is putting up good numbers, but the four dominant teams deserve to receive their All-Star squad recognition. We’ll find out soon...

Hope everyone is amped for this one! The Lakers begin their 8 game trek at The Q tonight and with a win the Cavs can take the season series as they did two years ago. Lifetime, LeBron leads Kobe, 7-5. Bryant has averaged 25 points a game, with five 30 point games and LBJ has averaged over 27 points a night.

No Mo Williams, with the shoulder sprain...his first missed game as a Cavalier, due to injury. So, Delonte West gets his first start of the season, and Daniel Gibson will see plenty of time at both guard spots. He's played well all season, so no reason to think he won't step right in.

L.A. plays two back-to-backs on this trip, getting the Knicks after the Cavs, and then going to Indiana on a BTB. They finish the trip with Boston and Memphis on the road.

This will draw immense interest coast to coast.
