We don't like trolls any more than you do (probably less).  We have adopted a zero tolerance policy on trolls.  We now ban them immediately with no warning.

Our problem is that it takes us a while to find trolls quickly.  We are not moderating 24/7 (we have to sleep sometime).  You can help by being our eyes and ears. 

When you notice a troll, it is best to just not respond - a response is just what they are looking for.  It is especially bad and wrong to flame them and/or use profanity in responding to them - you can get warned or banned for flaming and/or profanity.

Thanks golfer....I tend to stay up late and there basically were 3 trolls last nite shooting at us hard....I appreciate the way our cavs fan stuck up for ourselves even though you should not feed them.....I wanted someone to just STOP all of this ugly chatter about Lebron...I will help you out next time by reporting it...but what if you/other mods are sleeping...LA is 3 hours behind us?

Like I said, we aren't on 24/7, but we check the reports as often as we can.

Perhaps the best (fastest) way to get some action is to send a PM - when you do that, we get an e-mail notice of a (private) message - with a report, we don't get an e-mail notice.  John Lowenstein lives in LA and he might be "on patrol" a bit later than the rest of us.

I usually check my e-mails first thing in the morning (7 AM or so).

i think a good idea would be to get a mod in a different time zone - so when all of you are asleep they are awake and slamin down the law
