Hey guys, Long time lurker here...had to make an account to put this out there: Some forums have rules about new users not being able to start threads until they've made a certain number of posts. I think this site could use something like that. There are new threads every day posted by people who clearly haven't been following any of the current threads. They don't know who's still on the team (Wally and Smith are not tradable commodoties), they don't know the cap rules (we can't sign Odom to a $40mil contract), and they don't know how to read or post in stickied threads. I feel like there is a 5 to 1 ratio, or worse, of threads that aren't ridiculously redundant or wildly ill-informed... Just my thoughts after wading through about 15 useless threads in a row...haha Thanks, Mike

I actually like the idea. It'll prevent trolls from starting threads also. Hopefully a few of the mods read this and take your idea into consideration.

Great idea! this would be a very wise move for the mods to think about.
*The Cavs are destined for greatness in the 09-10 season.

thats a decent idea(because some new posters actually have a good reason to make a post) but if that was the case you wouldnt have been able to post this..lol..tho it wouldnt have been need posted then.

Makes good sense, although it wouldn't stop all the questionable threads (there are forum vets that also start these). It's good you got your 2 cents in now, because if this rule was in effect you wouldn't have been able to post it, lol. |
