Jersey Avatars?

Just noticed this looking at Admin6's avatar, but what is the point of the jersey number avatars when you can't see the number on the jersey?


 


Has anyone thought of this?

instead of a regular avatar (like yours is IronMan), it is an avatar of a player's jersey
