The last straw was in today's game when he sat behind the line for a minute-uncontested and shot the 3 and missed it.
Wally has one purpose of being on the floor and when he doesn't execute it, he is useless.
I'm not saying force a trade, but when a deal PROBABLY comes up, we need to look at if the deal is an absolute improvement. If we benefit from the trade, I trust that Danny will do what he needs to do.

I say keep wally and sasha. Its just my opinion. I dont think they are the reason for the cavs losses. The cavs will be fine. They are in a bit of a slump and will get come out. We saw what the cavs are made of against the bulls and Im sure we will see it again soon. Sasha and Wally are not the reason for this little bump in the road. In fact I like sasha he bring energy off the bench and wally can still shoot the ball he started on fire in the beginning of the season. I know I am going to get bashed for this but remember its just my own personal opinion.
This is the CAVS year! Im ready for the ride! GO CAVS!!!

I realize this is your opinion, and everybody is entitled for one. But it is my opinion you are missing the point.
Of course Wally and Sasha were not the only reason we lost. Just like you can't say if we had Z, we would've won.
But that is not an excuse for them not to get traded. You don't trade only to get rid of your worst players, you trade to get better. Trading Wally and/or Sasha is not a sort of punnishment for something they did or didn't do. It's simply trading them to fill our holes, to make us better. Wally has a huge contract, and we can use it for a better player that fixes a bigger hole. Why waste it?
Just remember this: by trading Wally we can only get better, not worse!
So far he's shown nothing worth keeping him for that money. Period. |

I think Wally will definately get traded.
I just think its gonna be really close to the deadline since he's an expiring.
I see most GM's mulling over all other offers/deals and looking at acquiring an expiring contract as something to do at the last minute.
I doubt whatever team will expect Wally to contribute a whole lot...and no ones trying to do us a favor
A deal will be done we just have to wait till the last minute IMO. |

After looking at all of this...
Screw Brad Miller. It's unrealistic, but I would LOVE to have Antawn Jamison or even Chris Kaman. We need a big, though... I mean, I wouldn't be terribly upset if we got Gerald Wallace (who I've always liked as a player anyway), but I think at this point we need to focus more on big man depth.

I can't make a blanket statement on whether they should trade Wally or not. He's valuable to the Cavs as an expiring also, not just to other teams. It depends on who they can get. |

That's pretty much the issue at hand. I realize that there are a lot of people that hate on Wally just because and want him gone regardless of the situation. Trust me, I have in the past felt that way about Piston Pavs. However, if Ferry is going to trade Wally, it will be to put the Cavs in a favorable position to win this year and down the road. There is no sense in trading him just because he has an expiring contract. It has to net the Cavs a good player.
Why bother paying that salary for many years to come if it doesn't get a good player in return?

True, and if a good player doesn't come along (which, imo, isn't likely), then I'd be fine with letting him expire. This would make us even bigger players in the market for '10. But I have confidence that a good, maybe great player will come along and make us favorites for this year and years to come.
