Wally's not so bad. Really. I think the cat kinda gets a bum rap. If he could settle down and get into some type of groove before the playoffs he can be a valuable piece. To me last year vs Boston for 5 or 6 games and pretty much throughout the playoffs he was solid. The guys like the 13th best 3 pt shooter in league history percentage wise and hes shot his fair share from back there over the years... He's physical, and although not the fastest guy he's bustin his **** out there. He's also taking better care of the ball this year limiting his turnovers. He's just overly emotional and so much of it predicates on his shot falling. But defenses can't sag on him, and at like 250 he can post most 2's and 3's up. He seems to be a decent teammate and adds a different spice mix as well.  I like Wally overall...

However, if a another 3 pt threat or a tall big would become available...

First off, write like a normal person. your not better then anyone so don't act like it.

Second. I like boobie gibson alot so don't put words in my mouth. He will catch fire again. But lets say we offer wally/2nd pick for jamison. The wizards say throw in boobie and its a deal. YOU BET YOUR DOGG IM GOING TO DO THAT.

Now if we can give them a jackson instead, Then thats great. You gotta lose some to get some. Thats something you need to learn.

First of all, I know I'm not better than anybody and we're talking sports so lets keep it "SPORTS"!!!

If Danny Ferry ever wants to prove that he is a great GM then now is the time to do so. Lebron already said that he likes where the team is headed and he would consider an extention this up and comming summer. Now this doesn't mean that King James is totally sold on this team just yet and if I were him I wouldn't be either. There's a couple more moves we need to make before we can call ourselves the Top Dogg of the league. I know champions aren't made at the end of the trading deadlines but if our team can pretty much stay healthy then we have a great chance to win our first title ever. 2010 should be out of Ferrys' mind and proving to the NBA world that he means business when it comes to making a squad that is going to  fight for a championship every year. Last but not least, LET'S GO CLEVELAND!!!!

Trading Wally's expiring contract to get a good player could mean title or no title for the Cavs this year.

Yes; not trading a very good expiring contract worth a whole bunch to a lot of teams is just not an option we have. It would be down-right dumb/silly/naive/foolish, etc, etc, etc to not trade Wally. If we have to add another player in order to make it work, or in order to get something better back in return, so be it. If we don't trade the contract, we LOSE at the end of the year and get nothing at all for Wally. Not an option.

hahahaha, always got to trade wally, we are the 2nd best tem in the east, in the playoffs boston could be mtched with atlanta early and could lose (they dont match up well with the hawks) then we could have a straight trip to the finals, and face LA

That would be nice.

After reading throughout this thread, one thing is certain:  We've got plenty of options, and it's a good problem to have.  However, I'm still convinced that we can get a good deal done without giving up JJ.  I'm also convinced that Boobie isn't going anywhere unless it's an absolute steal of a deal, where we get a current all-star type.  Just me though.

MYBE MYBE the cavs could win it all without making a trade. most likely not. But why take that risk when you have a great trading contract? Like I said before, lets not be the indians. Lets get another real good player and win this.

I agree that all we need is that one other player that demands attention on offense and when it comes to defense other teams would be hesitant to bring the ball in his area. You can see that if Boston and L.A. are having a hard time beating us now, wait till they get a lode of us later this year. I truly feel like Danny Ferry has to be out of his mind not to pull the trigger at least one more time before the deadline. Last but not least, LET'S GO CLEVELAND!!!!!!

No not still thinking of holding him. He did a really stout job against the Bobcats. Lets see what happens against the C's.
