I think that a key detail that some people are missing is the fact that Caron Butler would not fit in with the current Cavaliers team.  There is obviously a reason that the Wizards have two great players- Jamison and Butler- and they still lose the majority of games.  I wouldn't take Butler if the Wizards offered him because he is simply not a team player.

That's what some people said about Mo Williams before we got him, that's working out pretty good for us so far. Butler can be a team player, why couldn't he be? The reason the Wizards always lose is that they play no defense, and haven't really had a coach that can teach defense. Also, they have Arenas, who is a horrible fit, always taking shots whenever he wants, he needs to be a shooting guard, not a point guard.

I'd trade neither, just chuck Sasha in every feasible trade offer we have going right now... he stinks, the least upside in our rotation

Boobie is such a weapon when it comes to playoff time, this time last year nobody wanted to trade him, now a lot of people have given up on him, why?! Sure his jumper has been off in the past month but he's turning it around slowly, he's still our best shooter 20 feet and out, period.. Mo and Delonte do come close though! Look at his ball handling improvement too his assist to T/O ratio is above 2.0 for the first time in his career, he's had plenty of games with zero turnovers when he's handled the ball more than he did at points last year! The sudden call for him to be traded doesn't seem fair to me, harsh world I guess!

the Delonte one bugs me more but I don't wanna whinge anymore because there really isn't that much to whige about Cavs wise this year :D more worried about my soccer team haha

The original who bought this mess should still put the pipe down!! D.west has that homegrown feel. We feel he's a cooky cool guy. He's blended in like a chamilion here-From Day 1- He brings the pail night in  & out despite his weaknesses we all apreciate that-and realize thats what champions are made of. I've haven't seen or heard the same traits in Butler.

IFWT--building the organization of champions.                                                  where being just 2 good happens

Yah no doubt hes good... but I really dont think he would mesh with the rest of the team. Anytime any of the members are asked why they are doing so well they always say a big part is that they all like each other and stuff... I dont see fitting in like that .. it would ruin the chemistry.

If all else fails punch them in the back of the head-Delonte West☮

If the Bobcats would be stupid enough to give us both of those players for Wally the "SCRUB" and Action Jackson only........... I would say yes in a heart beat. More than likely we would have to give up Snow's contract as well.

Back to the original question: Why on earth would we trade West? All the guy does night in and night out is produce. If we need penetration there he is taking it to the rack! If we need outside shooting there he is! Not to mention the way he is in total control of himself in an uptempo game or half court set. I don't know to me the guy does no wrong. Plus his defense on bigger guys(worry in the off season) has been stellar. He has all but shutdown anyone he has faced!

Wally on the other hand is another story. Some nights his shot goes down from everywhere. Those nights he is valuable. Some nights he cant buy a bucket. Those nights he is worthless. The thing West has going for him is if his shot isn't fallen he can find other ways to help the team.
