I give my standard response to the "Sasha needs more minutes" or "Sasha deserves more minutes" comment:

The team is 30-6.  They are 1st place in the Eastern conference.  This record has been achieved with Sasha filling the role he has.  Why should Delonte West be punished for his good play by having his minutes reduced?  Does that sound fair for a guy who has out-played Sasha?

I think some people might leanmore towards Sasha taking Wally's minutes.

As far as Delonte goes...theres is no way his minutes should be cut at all...the dude is good...he's the SG weve always needed. It svery possible that Delonte has held almost every SG he's defended well below their usual scoring averages...look at how he held OJ Mayo in check last night.

I agree West may have to receive some consideration for the 2nd team or somethin. I doubt he gets acknowledged for his overall stellar d.

IFWT--building the organization of champions.                                                  where being just 2 good happens

That's still a tough sell, IMO.

Here's a little-known fact:  Sasha Pavlovic and Ben Wallace are both shooting the same exact percentage at the stripe so far this season (48%).

Wally is by no means the perfect player.  He's old and seems to have lost his shot.  However, he is rebounding quite well this year and playing with effort.  It will take more than a corner three from Sasha in garbage time to convince me that he "deserves" more minutes.

Fair enough on the Free throw percentage...but Sasha has shot 24 free throws this entire season, and he is a career 72% (which isnt amazing but seviceable). And if you really have been watching, Wally is playing with effort, but his defense is just dreadful and he cant shoot (anymore).  Like i continue to say on these posts, give Sasha consistent minutes to build his confidence and his offense will be there. MORE IMPORTANTLY, if his shot isnt falling, he still brings his defense to the table, which you CANNOT say about Wally...

In the Sasha vs. Wally argument I think Mike Brown plays Wally because he's the smarter player.

I know Wally's skills has diminished but for some reason Mike Brown would rather play Wally.

I dont buy that Wally gets PT to be showcased for a trade and I know Mike Brown likes veterans but I just think Wally shows some smarts that Sasha doesnt...MB might just trust Wally more than Sasha...and I understand why..if thats the case

I don't know, to me Sasha has regressed over the past two seasons, from what I've seen he's a terrible decision maker and just not a very good shooter.  I think he could improve a lot of he just stopped taking jumpers, he seems to be decent at taking it to the rim.

I have always thought Sasha has good talent, he just doesn't get the playing time he deserves. A couple games when he played quite a bit I think he looked good. I know with the team this year and all the other players it is hard for him to get much time, but I still thinks he derserves more minutes.
