Charlie Villanueva is a player that has drawn a lot of interest by Cavs fans.  There are a lot of threads made every day to discuss the possibility of him coming to Cleveland.  Instead of making a new thread to discuss any news about Charlie Villanueva, do it in here.

Some facts and opinions about Charlie Villanueva:

1. Charlie Villanueva, F, Bucks -- A classic "stretch" big man who has excellent size (6-11) and can hit the outside shot and rebound. Questionable defensively but still young and learning. Bucks appear to be making moves to keep him. (source)
2. The next step for the Bucks will be dealing with restricted free agents Ramon Sessions, Ersan Ilyasova and Charlie Villanueva this week. The Bucks are expected to make qualifying offers to Sessions and Ilyasova, which will allow them to retain their rights, but Villanueva does not appear to factor into their plans. (source)
3. Charlie Villanueva said the following on his Twitter page in regards to the Cavs acquiring Shaq:  "well, twitterland like I said there will be more trades to come, very interesting, Shaq to Cleveland, nice, all Cleveland need is a PF now" (source)
4. They [The Cavs] do not have cap space but do have their salary-cap exceptions: the mid-level of around $5.6 million and the bi-annual of $2 million. What puts them at an advantage is they actually expect to use the exceptions while many teams don't because owner Dan Gilbert is willing to pay the luxury tax and create the best environment to re-sign James next summer. 5. The only way Cleveland can acquire CV is through a sign-and-trade (unrealistic since The Bucks are trimming salary) or if he accepts the MLE.

CV is a type of player that is perfect along side DIESEL. He can shoot from the perimeter, is long and athletic and has the ABILITY to be a decent defender if he is coached. Remember, they do not teach D in Mil like they do in CLE. Just ask Mo Williams if the defensive coaching is better here or there. Also.. everyone is saying they want Sheed over CV.. WELL Sheed is proven but he is beginning to Slow down a lot.. The guy is getting up there in age and bringing in a younger, more hungary guy like Charlie is a better move..
