dimemag.com/2009/08/breaking-news-stephe... Stephen Jackson mentioned during an interview at a shoe signing event in New York that he didn't think he would be a Golden State Warrior next season. When further quizzed upon where he would like to end up, he mentioned Cleveland followed by anywhere in Texas or New York. What do you guys think about this? Would you want him? How would he fit with the team if we got him? How would we get him, if we made a play for him? What team could benefit from him? Discuss. Sorry if this has already been posted or should be somewhere else, this is my first post so kinda new to the system.

Interesting find, i probably would like him on this team but we'll probably have to use most or all of our available cap space to go after a decent big man to replace z and shaq, after this year they may be running on empty. |

Just because you read the article, doesn't mean it needs its own thread.

I would not want Jackson, he's an average player, not worth the trouble it would take to get him
Anderson Varejao is the best pick and roll defender in the league and I will fight you if you disagree.
When we look back in 3 years, everybody is going to say how much of a bargain Varejao's contract is I hope nobody freaks out when LBJ does his Tim Duncan impression and actually entertains offers this summer just to keep the organization on their toes before he signs a 3-4 year deal |

i'm not interested in him, i'd rather see us try and get someone else

He's a good player, I just don't see where he would fit in now that we have Anthony Parker and Jamario Moon. Unless we traded away like Moon and Gibson, I couldn't see it really working out. And even then, we would have a lot of question marks as far as PT goes. |
