ha, see this is why I was a big fan of getting Jackson.

Guy can score without Lebron plus plays tough D.  Will he miss shots?  Yes.  Will he take bad ones?  Yes.  You know what, SO DOES LEBRON.  Love Lebron, but he frustrates me sometimes when he falls in love with his 3 shot.  It's improved, i'll give him that.....but he was taking them 4-5 feet past the line yesterday which is ridiculous for him, especially early in the shot clock.

No he wouldn't he'd already be jacking up shots left and right like he's doing in Charlotte.  He's another jump shot happy guy but at least he can penetrate and move with and without the ball.

By virtue of his game LeBron makes everyone else a role player however he hasn't had anyone who has demonstrated the ability to lighten his load by doing anything.  The Cavaliers need a low post presence who can demand attention not another guy who makes his living by shooting from the outside.  Shaq was a step in the right direction he's just to old now.

I'm telling you if the Cavaliers could find a PF like a David West, Elton Brand or someone of that game you'd see a big difference in their offense.

hmm....Brand and West aren't really the same type of player.......

You'd definitely see a difference in our offense with either......just not sure if both would make our offense better.

Cavs don't really need a guy like Elton Brand....IF Shaq is healthy and playing 25 minutes a game.

West is nice....but he doesn't put this team over the top at all and I doubt we'd see that big a difference in our offense, at least not til Shaq is back.  West and Z on the floor together would be too many big outside shooters IMO.

West is a good compliment to Shaq though.  That would likely see a small improvement in the offense since he can step out and shoot.

jackson's versatility and ability to create for himself would have been a nice addition for the cavaliers but his attitude not to mention horrible contract would not.  i have mixed emotions on him not being a possibility now.  the one good thing that i learned however from the "supposed" trade talk is Ferry is working behind the scenes and exercising some imagination in the process.  resigning wally only to trade him a la dallas with keith van horn a few years ago is brilliant.  you factor in this along with the contracts of Delonte West and Z and the Cavaliers have some nice financial bait for other NBA teams who need relief.  i just hope if Ferry does something he brings in a player or players who can actually help, no more role players, no more Parkers or Moons I want an actual player who can produce nightly preferably either at PF or SG.

Amen, you said it perfectly. No more role players!!!Our entire team is role players, and Lebron. Lets get a legitamite scoring weapon.

gotta bump this post 10000

iam rolled out with all these stand around watch lebron guys and the fans that pump em

Jackson would just be a role player here

of course that would help but any guy that can score above 16 plus a game will help reguardless of position

Well I disagree with alot of what you said especially that Brand or West would not improve the Cavaliers offense.  They sure would, in a heartbeat, immediately.  You can't count on Shaq and it's being demonstrated right now.

West and Z wouldn't be on the court although with Mike Brown who knows.  West starts next to Shaq and Andy comes off the bench for him with Z.

I think you need to watch how David West plays because he'd be perfect for the Cavaliers.

Bow down before the one you serve your gonna get what you deserve!!!!!

I did not say West wouldn't improve our offense.  I said he wouldn't improve it 'that much'.  He's not having a great year, you can't just hope he'd all of a sudden find it in Cleveland.

And Brand hasn't done much of anything this year.  He's not the same 20-10 guy he was in LA.  Missing nearly 2 years has taken it's toll on him.

West and Z would see some time together.  Can't just always have AV and Z together and SHaq and West (basketball doesn't work that way).

What has Brand shown this year...or last year...or the year before, that would indicate he'd improve our offense immediately?  He's been injured and very ineffective when healthy.  Not like the 76ers are totally devoid of talent either.  Iguodala and Young are having great years and they have 5-6 guys averaging double figures in points.  Brand nearly got moved to the 76ers bench!  It's VERY likely he wouldn't even start in Cleveland when Shaq is healthy.

Brand is 30 now.....I actually think JJ is a better fit for this club right now than Brand.  Only way I'm taking Brand is if Iguodala is included (which as much as I'd love it, is a pipe dream).

I agree, we can't for sure count on Shaq....but I'm MUCH more confident in Shaq's ability to be healthy by the playoffs than I am of Brand making it to the playoffs without a season ending injury....
