I know the bashing I will probably take for discussing moving Z, but I think this would be good for our team this year and long term.
www.realgm.com/src_checktrade.php?tradei... It is us and the Clippers, We get Kaman and Deandre Jordan and they get Z and possibly a draft pick. After this year if Z retires we would have no one over 6'10 in the post unless we resign Shaq. Now I think that Andy does an ok job at center and would be an ok fit with JJ in the future if need be, but I would rather have someone who is a little bigger that can bang down low and maybe block some shots. Kaman is no better than Z now and probably won't get any better however he will be almost guaranteed to put up the same numbers as Z, is a more athletic than Z and will be in his prime for at least 3-4 more years. Jordan needs to work on his free throw shooting, staying out of foul trouble and his post moves. With that said, he has incredible athleticism for someone his size, can use that to run the break and already is a shotblocking machine who blocked more than a shot a game in only 14 min last year. Can you imagine a frontcourt of Jordan, Hickson/AV, and Lebron running the break!!! This gives us a rotation next year in the frontcourt of PF- AV, Hickson, Darnell C- Kaman, Deandre Jordan This is without Shaq resigning and with Z retired, however I think this is still a legit rotation. Also this year Kaman would be our backup and he definately is starter quality. I would love this deal and depending on what the clips are looking to do maybe we throw in Darnell or a pick and I think they would at least consider it since they have camby. |

Im not going to bash you but I dont see how any trade with Z in it will help our team unless we get an all star in return. I mean you can replace someones leadership and loyality and even his productivity that he can go off the bench for us. Honestly I think he could win 6th man of the year. And unless its for an all star Z I think shouldnt be traded. I mean I do like Kaman and the future of Jordan but the pros doesnt equal out the cons in my opinion with trading Z |

For the Future, the trade is good but for this season, I will pass on it. Nice idea though. |

You give up an All-Star for Z if you are looking to clear cap space for 2010 beacuse Z is a free agent. Learn the rules of NBA trading!!

Teams need expiring contracts in order to clear cap space...How do you think we got shaq for ben and sasha...Teams would give up an all star for his contract but most likely not until the all star break. Teams need to make sure they arent going anywhere with the roster they have before they decide to change.
Long live the Crab-dribble!!!!
Mess with Cavs and Delonte will cap you!!! |

Ahmet, Orlando lost an edge with the Cavs when they lost Turk. Also with the addition of Moon and Parker, Orlando is much more guardable than previously. I'm not saying Orlando isn't tough, but if anything, we're a pretty dead even team now. Vince Carter has never been an issue for the Cavs in general. |
