I was just wondering is it just me or are there anyone who thinks that Boston will not be as great as the Celtics of 2008? Some surveys says that they are the no.1 team because KG is back and Rasheed and other additions. I don't think they will get back to the Finals, for me the farthest they will go is the second round. I like the Celtics and I want to meet them deep in the playoffs but after I saw KG during training camp, man he was limping, i mean "he's dragging his feet" according to the broadcaster. He is the heart and soul of the team so if he's not healthy, I don't see them getting past the bulls nor the Magic.

He's older than 2 years ago also.

yeah the way they have it, wallace as such a great player and he will make the difference of a championship or not. Personally i don't understand that at all. Wallace is to old to do much now. Besides the fact he always sucks it up when he faces us. I think boston will be in the 4th or 5th seed this year and won't even make it out of the first round. they have some older players and come march and there bodies are all broken down, then everyone will see. Of course we have some older players to in shaq. but the difference is, he isn't needed to play many minutes and every game, were the celtics really don't have a choice in the matter. KG is good but he's not going to be winning the mvp anytime soon lol.

2 years older he just came off an injury

what helped them when thay vs the lakers thay hade james posey

pj rown

sam cassel who made diffences in those games

you lost all 3 of tose guys and you get rasheed wallace who game went down in my opionion

and you get marqius daniels a scrub in my opionion who not as much as a factor as james posey was

ya some players got better llike rondo but 1 things is that the older you get the more your legs start wearing you out as you get older it will be extremly hard for them if thay go to the conference finals beause there mainn the 3 players are older like  allen 34  pierce 32 garnett 33           there legs are going to where out and thay have to relly young players and all thay got is kg so idont see them  going that far in the plaoofs

The predictions are all based on the celtics having a healthy garnett...which is iffy at best. I think most of the Rasheed hype is based on what he did the year the Pistons signed him. He played with alot more motivation as alot of atheletes do with a fresh start. He is much older now though, and while i do think he will have an impact I doubt it will be similar. The cavs took them to 7 when they were healthy and we have a much better team now. I like the Cavs regardless of bostons health bill.

u can say the same for shaq, bostons chemistry is so good that the big three dont even have to be productive for them to win games, all KG has to do is be there. just one block or one dunk and that team goes into kill mode. and to everyone saying that theyre old well yeah they are but theyre deep enough for it to not matter, they have more than enough forwards and they have a couple pointguards as well. boston in my opinion is gonna be just as good as orlando and us to make it out of the east. so its really up to whoever has the x factor and wants this ring more.

Exactly. How quick everyone is to forget that we took the eventual NBA champion, healthy, Celtics of 2 years ago to within a few layups in game 7. Our starting 5: Dwest, Wally, LBJ, Ben, Z with Andy, Sasha, Boobie and Smith off the bench. I mean we are absolutely leaps and bounds better than that team, and the Celtics are 2 years older, with Rasheed Wallace, and there season really depending on KG's knees. I just can't see them prevailing over us or Orlando in the East.

i'm sorry but i don't think KG is gonna get back to 100%. and without a 100% KG, that team is not what they used to be. maybe i'm a little bit biased but i don't think this team is on the championship level anymore.
