Stats in Euro league don't really mean much because of their style of play. Also I didn't know Eyenga moved up to the "A team"....is that true?

We made a huge mistake by drafting him.
How so?
Could have traded the pick for a 2nd rounder and cash like what LA did I guess.....
We could have got Dejuan Blair.
he hasnt done enough to make me regret not taking him, especially not when JJ and Andy are playing well and we have Powe recovering.

I think people forget that we have Powe. Either that or they don't really know about him. He and JJ are 2 different styles of PF so having them both is a great thing for the future. Especially with how young they are. They will compliment each other very well. If anything we should be going after a starter caliber SG. But hey maybe Ferry thinks Eyenga can be that guy in the future

^^^ I don't think alot of people realize part of the reason or maybe the reason (from what I've heard/read) that Eyenga was chosen in round 1 was indeed because of money. Whether this is true or not I don't know but this is what I've heard/read and it makes sense.
As for Blair he wasn't drafted until round 2 at #37 which was before the Cavaliers picked at #46. Sam Young, DeJuan Summers and Chase Buddinger were other guys but like Blair they were drafted ahead of the Cavaliers pick so it didn't matter.
The difference between the 30th picks salary and D. Green's salary is pretty miniscule. If we wanted to save money, why didn't we just select an actual player at 30, and select an over seas project in the 2nd round? We would have saved slightly less money, but we would likely have another rotation player right now, and a good looking player for the future.
Birdy hop, he do, he hop along

1st round picks automatically get 2 years of guaranteed money, second round picks do not
