looks like he's barely cracking the rotation...only 12min per game...in limited shooting he's hitting some shots, but he'll need to see the floor more to develop...

this is exactly why he is overseas and will be there for a while, raw talent won't get you very far if you can't play.

Let's compare with who we SHOULD have picked:

Dujuan Blair

Season Team G GS MPG FG% 3p% FT% OFF DEF RPG APG SPG BPG TO PF PPG

^^^ I don't think alot of people realize part of the reason or maybe the reason (from what I've heard/read) that Eyenga was chosen in round 1 was indeed because of money.  Whether this is true or not I don't know but this is what I've heard/read and it makes sense.

As for Blair he wasn't drafted until round 2 at #37 which was before the Cavaliers picked at #46.  Sam Young, DeJuan Summers and Chase Buddinger were other guys but like Blair they were drafted ahead of the Cavaliers pick so it didn't matter.

What, you mean a whoping $850,000?? Isn't that a drop in the bucket compared with the 50 Million + we just gave Varajao for 5 years?

Point is we're weakest at PF and PG... and we're not sure how Hickson and Powe will work out, and Blair is turning into a monster and will probably average the most rebounds per game in the entire league in a few years (or at least be top 3). You'll see, just remember you heard it here first! ;-)

Hey your preaching to the choir I'm not a Varejao fan at all I've been drooling for a real PF for years for the Cavaliers.  So much so I miss Larry Nance and John "Hot Rod" Williams more everyday.

I think the Cavaliers needed a PF and a SF this summer and the best they did was Moon who wouldn't have been my first choice as LeBron's backup.  Blair's injury scared me but he can definitely rebound.  I prefer a PF with a mid-range game though anyways.  Guys like Shaq and Z and Varejao (off the bench if he had stayed) would be for rebounding.
