well at the moment right now i am looking at teams around the league and seeing what we could trade for, now with the clippers there are rumors with Kaman and Camby, if they struggle, i expect at least camby to be traded for at least filler contract and draft picks, since he will be a free agent next season, so that way they can get someting for him, we cant make that trade, we dont have the right contracts to fit there, and then we dont have enough for Kaman, they will want more than just Z and draft picks from us, we would have to give up to much for Kaman, that will hurt us not help us, but what i was looking at was their young athletic forward/center with the name of DeAndre Jordan who they drafted in the second round, he is a solid player and very athletic, of course he still has some things to work on, but i think he will be a solid NBA player, he is 21, 6'11 250lbs, he was compared to a guy like Dwight Howard, very tall and very athletic, of course he wont ever be howard, but he had one of the highest potential in the draft a few years ago, and his stats a few years ago was a 96 (he would be a top 15 in next years draft if he stayed in college) by the nbadraft.net and right now by the same standards the best player we could get was a 91, so jordan by that is better than anyone we could get, without moving up, in the next draft, so here is my idea,
1st round pick (maybe future second) for PF/C DeAndre Jordan
Now your thinking that is overpriced, but i dont expect us to get a better player than him late in the first round, it probably is but the fact of the matter he is only 21, younger than some players who will be drafted next year, he has some experience in the NBA, he is very athletic, and under MB, could easily learn how to be a solid defender, then we can always buy a second round pick if we had to give up everythin i said we may, also you may see them looking to move baron davis also since the top player right now next season is supposed to be a point guard, then they would more than likely have the first pick again if they trade davis, so they will have a fair amount of draft picks, so they will be able to replace jordan, so what do you guys think of my move, its small but i like it? |

We already have two prospects at the PF spot and we are trying to develop them. Would you trade JJ for DeAndre? Because this would be what is necessary! (I have a feeling JJ will never really become a real good player until we trade him and he performs with another team... Don't know why lol)
Not that I don't like DeAndre Jordan, but I don't see why we should trade so early in the season. We'll see. He is very athletic, and I think he will, indeed become a solid player.
It could be an option, but IDK :) |

Would Mike Brown even play him though lol? I think if we make any trades this year it will be for someone that is ready to contribute right away, so maybe more of a veteran. From what you say it looks like he can be a decent bench player? |

Yeah i dont like MB when it comes to that stuff, he doesnt work will with rookies sometimes, reason why i would trade for him now is because i want him to learn the system and learn more from Shaq and Z, so like in La he wouldnt be expected to play a whole lot, but another thing i was looking at he is a year older than JJ, so having jj and Jordan develop together since they could play together for 10+ years pretty easily, that would give us a nice solid core for the future of this team, since both of them are young and very athletic, and there is only one guy i want in next years draft anyways, from the center position and he wont fall that far i dont think, so this guy would be just as good as any player we would get, so it would be nice to have him early and learn the system, and with no true center signed next season, this may just be a good insurance policy too |

JJ would be developed at PF and Jordan at center, not PF |

Do you remember that our rotation at center is pretty much ok? He is an undersized center, so he can play PF? :) |

Why would the Clips want to dump him for a late first round pick? |

DeAndre Jordan is gonna be a beast. He already had one 20 rebound game last season... I think Clips are pretty high on him as their center of the future. Jordan, Griffen, Thornton and Gordon are the future of their team... I see it more likely that Clips trade Kaman and/or Baron Davis if they are sub .500 come deadline. If they are in a play-off race then they might look to add another player or even make a move to bring Brand back... in that case, they'd be willing to part with young studs... but really this is Clippers, so lottery-bound/rebuilding scenario is more likely. |
