No, they don't tonight.  And that was probably the context he meant it in.  He wasn't making a statement regarding the team's chances this year.  He was talking about tonight.

we havent looked like a ecf championship team this year... we have played 1 elite team-lost 1 playoff team- lost 2 teams that have no shot at playoffs- won both... and right now against a playoff team we look real bad.. coinsidence?

A wise man once said, "its not how you get there, its the final outcome." Ya they dont look tip top 5 GAMES into the season... THey will make it to the playoffs, and thats where they will do their damage. Its not the fact that the coaching staff hasn't learned how to utilize shaq, its the fact that shaq hasnt been in the position to utilize his touches... Hes been forced to set up way to far away from the basket. Clevelanders freaking out at the beginning of a long season.

some commentators last year said the cavs may not mentally recover from the orlando loss. I didnt believe that myself when I heard the statement but now I wonder if that series loss impacted their confidence and ambition (players, coaches and management). The offseason acquisitions by us did not help. The celtics, magic and lakers off season additions are far superior. I don't know maybe it's just chemistry issues but the team seems unfocused compared to last year.

i think the reason we seem less "intense" i guess you could say is because last year most of our team hadnt been on a team where they were THAT good... blowing everyone out early in the season and early on winning 19 of 20. so this was really exciting for us and they were just had that extreme killer instinct since it was all new. now this year we realize that the reg season is important just not AS important so they dont feel like they need to go out with that same intensity since it is not needed. this could be a good thing though bc its like they are saving all this energy and all this intensity in a bag and when the playoffs hit they are going to let it all out and hit their stride then

I know.  We got blown out again at home tonight and things better start changing fast.

I beg all posters to please stop using "there", when the word you mean is "their" or "they're".  These words are not interchangeable, EVER.  It's such an eyesore.

Was that fast enough?  :)
