Sure, it could be either credit. Heck, it could be both. However the win looks less impressive that way.

By the end of the regular season it will be just be 1 of 60 some wins. So since you are trying to find ways to justify this not being an impressive Cavs victory over the Magic...That might help you.

What are you talking about? Don't most people on the forums regard this as more of an okay win? Why would it be impressive? LeBron was LeBron, bench was meh, Shaq kinda got into trouble, and Mo was hot (your x factor). I'm more willing to argue Mo just dominated Nelson (who's had terrible defensive struggles since the season started). The game played out as expected by me... except the foul troubles for both centers.

where did i say it was impressive... thoug i will say lebron being lebron is impressive by the way... and mo was impressive last night... try not to take it so personal, i was just having alittle fun with ya and only posted that based on your previous post in which you cited reasons to credit the vicotry as not being impressive...but we'll play you guys again..and depending on how the dice roll we may see you guys in the playoffs too..and maybe i read your post wrong..who knows..

losing 3 games this early part of the season can sometimes affect one's judgment about who's the better player between carmelo and lebron. as i've said, the ones who bash mike brown, mo, gibson, shaq are also starting to lose faith in lebron's game. i bet howard, wade and kobe are much better than lebron, too. i can't imaginge lebron having a center of nene's caliber, a point guard like billups, a reserve of j.r. smith's exploits, a stretch forward of lewis' accuracy, or big men with the likes of gasol, odom and bynum. are those excuses? yes. lebron has never been priviledged to have a reliable team mate. the best he got thus far was a playoff-inexperienced mo and an aging shaq. sigh!
I am not saying that Lebron is not as good as Melo or anyone else. I don't doubt Lebron's ability in the least. I think that given the right coach Lebron could wind up as the GOAT without question or reservation. Of the players that I have seen play first hand some of those include Bird, Magic, Jordan, Duncan, Kobe, and Shaq. Those players weren't as great as they were/are simply because of their god given gifts. They were great because they had coaches who recognized their potential and pushed them to live up to it. To often I see signs that indicate that Lebron is not being pushed hard enough to become better. He has been MVP caliper basically since day one in the league, but imagine if he had been pushed, and pushed hard to exceed his previous accomplishments. He has the tools, the IQ, the talent, the athleticism, the vision, he has everything you could ask for. But does he have a coach to take advantage of those gifts and mold him into a finished product the likes of which no one has ever seen before?
Until now we were in agreement but I have to admit you lost a little. LeBron would excel under any coach I don't think he needs a Phil Jackson to make him better. Would it help? Heck yes compared to Mike Brown any head coach with an idea would probably assist LeBron James but much like Bird, Magic, Jordan and the rest LBJ is a special athlete.
LeBron would benefit from a system no doubt I actually think he would thrive under it but he'd also benefit from better players around him too unfortunately we have to deal with reality and accept things for what they are now.
But it is specifically because Lebron is a special athlete that makes it all the more important to give him a quality coach. I am not saying that Lebron isn't a great player both in the modern era and among all times, because he clearly is, rather I am trying to say imagine how much greater he could be.
