Mo's minutes are fine by me so far this season. He played over forty last nite because he was on fire and Delonte was a scratch -- this was also the first game of the regular season Mo was over forty minutes, or even over 35 minutes. On average so far this year, he's right where he was last season at around 35 minutes per. When Mo's hot like he was last nite, he should be in as long as he can be out there. This goes for any player really IMO. It's Parker's minutes I was more concerned about til these last few games. It looks like the team and Brown are getting more comfortable in their rotations, and no one's really been consistently overworked so far this season.

I think the only reason he played so much last night is because of the short notice of Delonte's absence. our backup PG last night was Daniel Gibson, maybe against a lesser team, that would have sufficed and we could have managed his minutes better. But we were playing against the Magic last night and we needed a PG out there to manage the game at all times.
Anderson Varejao is the best pick and roll defender in the league and I will fight you if you disagree.
When we look back in 3 years, everybody is going to say how much of a bargain Varejao's contract is I hope nobody freaks out when LBJ does his Tim Duncan impression and actually entertains offers this summer just to keep the organization on their toes before he signs a 3-4 year deal |
