Okay so we lost out on Stephen Jackson, but lets look at the details of that deal. The Warriors got Bell as an expiring contract and got Radmanovic as a filler. Why dont we see if we can send Delonte and Darnell for Vlad? His contract does go one more year after this one and it isnt the greatest but the Cavs are already set up to be able to spend money in 2011, his contract would only give us more. Plus the thing with Lebron is that when he's on the floor, whether it's as a 3 or a 4 he really does both jobs. With guys like JJ and Andy he's still hitting the glass hard and getting in the paint and when he's the 4 he's still out on the perimiter. Teams alot of times without centers will play 2 pf's and just call one a center, think of Al Horford in Atlanta and Al Jefferson in Minnesota. Anyone who's seen them play it's clear they're pf's but they're listed as centers. Teams are starting to do that with forwards now with these stretch 4's. Look at Rashard Lewis and Hedo Turkgolu last year. Can you tell me which one was the pf? Both averaged around 5 rebounds per game and neither could really block shots. The thing that made one of them a pf was their height. They are both 6-10 but are really sf's. This is how i see Vladimir. He could be a good spot up shooter off the bench for the Cavs when they decide to play Lebron and him on the floor. He wouldnt have to do anything but be ready to shoot and at 6'10 teams would have to respect him on defense. I feel like we've been looking for a way to defend stretch 4's all summer but maybe we should be proactive and find one of our own to put the same pressure on teams. Lebron does enough for both forward spots so that whoever is playing the other forward just has to hustle and they'll get theirs. Plus Golden State would not mind taking West on because of his buyout at the end of this year. They could save themselves even more money now and the Cavs could get a contributor as well as more money for 2011, when they're really set up to hit free agency. |

We'd be losing a great defender/ good point guard in Delonte though... |

lol.. he would be the piece to a championship... okay lets get serious, i would believe there has to be a better stretch 4 we can get something out of a d west deal. Vlad might help us a bit on offense, but defensively no thanks.
Cmon, Danny get lebron his Batman!

Lets be serious Vlad would not but this team over the top. It makes no sense to trade for him IMO

Wait, wait, I've got a better idea...
How about we don't make a trade just to make a trade?

West might play 50 games this year. With Boobie playing as well as he has been as well as Moon and Parker, West is expendable. And if there's any better stretch 4's out there that we can get please tell me cause i cant come up with any that aren't out of our range. I just thought Vlad wouldnt be that hard to get and could provide an impact instead of the 3939039 posts about David West who we really have no one to trade for. And besides i doubt a whole lot of teams are really gonna want Delonte with his current issues. Golden State knows it would only be for one year so they would probably be okay with it. |

Marcus you're right i dont know why i didnt think of that.. lets pay a guy 5 mill to sit in the locker room because of a mental condition. I feel for the guy i really do but he's useless to us and our acusitions this summer make him expendable |

I'm not saying don't trade him... but don't trade him for Vladamir Radmonovic. There's no point in getting him. I'd rather shop around and see what better options there are.
Everyone is jumping to make a trade, and personally I don't think trading D-West or even Z hurts this team as much as it would have last year, but you need to be sure it's a homerun deal. They can't afford to settle for anything less. Trading for Vlad would be settling for less.
I agree with you on David West, though. I don't want to see the Cavs deal for him.

The Warriors got Vlad cause they need him. It doesn't make sense for them to trade him for a troubled guard in West and a guy who hardly plays in Darnell. Stephen Jackson was starting at the 4 a lot for the Warriors. Turiaf is hurt and so is Azubuike. They are hurting at the forward spot. |

For real? I hadn't heard about that... you're sure it wasn't the 3? In either case, what a mess they've got over there.
