first time poster but i've been religiously looking up this forum up ever since lebron has been on the cavs. But I think the team needs a big SG but are there any big SGs we can possible get?

I have been sayin this for last 2 years or so... Seems everytime we run into SG thats over 6'3 we run into trouble stopping them..The joe johnsons and michael redds of the league...The score on us and tear us up everytime we play em...But just like Mo use to do to us when he was in milwaukee maybe we get a joe johnson or something at free agency at end of season..Pending bron bron stays in cleveland. Which i highly doubt he going anywhere he got it made in cleveland. The teams he would go to he would have to start all over as far as rebuilding a team HE wants so doubt he going anywhere. But SGs i dont know of any off top of head until end of season... Which lots to choose from through free agency. But for time being we will be fine once we get chemistry down and quit settling for jump shots.

yeah im not sure clevelands coaching staff is getting it yet. once you control the paint and get high percentage shots in the paint you can control a game. cavs need to focus on getting easy buckets like layups. take ball to hole more often and draw contact like lebron did all last year. worry about jumpshots later. another thing is cavs stand too much along three point line. seems like with most of there shots there is never anyone under boards to get rebound. if you can control boards as a team the likelyhood if you winning game is great because you are getting second chance shots. i get so frustrated watching games and cleveland shoots and noone ready for rebound shaq and z. those guys should be controlling boards but maybe average about what twelve rebounds amongst two of them, sad!!!! plus  at halftime should maybe look at film and see what they did to control games and come out and play same way!!! for some reason they loose luster and come out like whole different team which is why i stress rotation of players so they can get used to being on court and contibuting becasue starters getting ran down!!

Slide Bron down to SG and give other teams the problem of guarding him with a smaller player!  Then Sign a good SF instead of SG...  SF generally are bigger and require the ball much less than SG.

John would be a perfect fit, even if he's a semi ball hog, since he fits what we need perfectly. Mo is totally fine at PG. From last year our weakness, and its travelling into this season, is a small SG.  Its hard to guard people like kobe, vince, d-wade, and ray allen when they can just shoot over the top of ya.  It reminds me of the Phoneix Suns with Nash, faster younger point guards school the suns just like Suns vs Hornets.  With the Cavs is that big guards dominate our guards.  The only exception would be Boykins, he made mo look like a fool last game, but thats because you don't usually run into many 5'5 match ups.

It would be awesome if you could get K-mart.  Before i thought a solid Power Forward is what we needed but with Hickson stepping up, we really don't need that spot filled.  Mo, _____, Lebron, Hickson, and Shaq.  Who will fill the blank?  Our bench is looking solid with Andy and Z coming of the bench and if AP could come off with them also instead of being a starter that would only strengthen our depth.

Are there any shooting guards in the league that we can pick up this season before deadline?

that would work also and make it difficult for SG's in the league to D up Bron.  Have anyone in mind for the Small forward spot? If T-mac was healthy i'd try to pick him up but ya, it's still early in the season...

When i start thinking about trades i just get mad at the fact that Lakers picked up Gasol from Memphis for pretty much nothing and I feel that we're just 1 piece away from a championship.

Lebron is a SMALL FORWARD.  A #3.

Stop trying to move him all over the place.  Can he play all over?  Yes, but he's at his best running the point forward spot and that's where this team needs him.  In some rotations it makes sense to use him as a 4 or a 2, but he shouldn't BE either.

I don't think we absolutely 'need' a bigger SG.  We've managed Carter well throughout his career.  Plus, Parker is like 6'6.  He's a good defender and shooter. I definitely want an upgrade, but don't think it's a dire need.
