We've aquired the true PG we've been looking for since we traded Andre Miller in the Pre-LeBron era. There should be no reason that in Mike Brown's offense that LeBron brings the ball across the timeline besides the last 3 minutes of a game. There is no excuse for LeBron to be receiving the ball on the wing with 10 seconds left on the shot clock and trying to get a double team for an easy assisst. With a true ball handler we should be LeBron much more on the block this season which will save the wear and tear on his body and less of him trying to carry the whole team. The aquisition of Mo Williams gives us the only other player who can really create his own shot and has the ability to create offense for players around him when LeBron is on the bench. There should be no excuses why the Cavs shouldn't be running the fast break down the floor countless times instead of the dismal half court offense weve seen since Brown took over the job. I've never been a head hunter of Mike Brown in the past, but Ferry did his job, its time for Brown to do his. |

I agree 100%. If Mo gets planted in corner to stand there for 20 seconds while LeBron pounds the ball at the top of the key, he will struggle. If this happens, MB has to go. You can't just expect a player to be effective if all they do is stand on the 3 pt line the whole game waiting for a catch a shoot. MB has to find a way to involve all of the other players more in the offense.
If our offense is still stand around and watch LeBron, I am going to freak out. I really really am sick of it. Its pathetic enough that we are going into MBs 4th year and we are still talking about this. If it happens again, he has to go or an offensive assistant must be brought in.
Larry Hughes is STILL HORRIBLE
All I want is ONE championship. |

This was a GREAT move for the Cavs, and it makes them a whole lot better! I watched Mo a lot, and the guy just keeps on getting better.
If the Cavs fail to reach the ECF this year, then I think he should be fired! |

One player doesn't change an entire offense (unless your name is LBJ). We were a half court team, not because we didnt' have a PG, but because that's the offense MB put in. I think he'd rather have them saving most of their energy for the defensive side, and then creating turnovers which lead to easy buckets in transition. I don't think, unless MB goes for a third new offense in three years, that we'll see a huge difference. But we should see better execution. I mean, our guys got great shots, it wasn't very exciting, nor did we look like the Suns, but it got the job done. We were closer to beating the Celts than any other team in the NBA. Not a great time to re-write the playbook imo.
but that's just my opinion....

It was never Mike Brown's fault, and wrong, we still don't have the roster set to say "no more excuses" because we have to improve the front line. Right now, even though we have Mo, we are just a perimeter team. Even Z has turn into a perimeter big. That will still equal inconsistent offense. Shooting goes hot, and cold. Mo definitely will help our offense. We need a offensive punch down low, before we say "no more excuses" for Mike Brown on the offense side of the ball.
I believe the cavs are trying to address that, and should before the season starts. |
