Offensively I would love to have Vince Carter here. However, I would much rather have a lock-down defender tha t can hit shots at the two than Vince. That being said, I think there will be better options for the price. I would rather we look to see how our SG situation plays out, and make a move for a solid center or star PF before going after an all-star SG. |

I'm not sure Carter is the guy we want. If we can pull another deal off to add an impactful defensive power forward or center and get Carter than I'm all for it, but Carter alone won't get us where we want to go.

There is no way we get VC. This is an awful idea, sorry. His contract runs THROUGH the 10/11 year, which is what we don't need. That is the year we try and keep Lebron and put another 15 mil + allstar with him. We can't do that if we have an aging Vince Carter eating up all that cash. NJ would LOVE to do this because they WANT to dump his salary so they can go after LeBron. Only player I'd go after is Joe Johnson at the deadline. He is better than VC and his contract ends when Lebron's does.
No to JR (he sucks) and no to Captain Jax

He's not getting any younger but his numbers are as good as any other year he played. Last year he had career highs in rebounds and assists. He's got life still and the nets might be waiting till later to trade with us. I was a skeptic at first but I would not be surprised now if Wally is traded for Carter later this season. |

trading wally for vince is just a waste of a valuable trade asset i agree that he can still contribute but he is way past his prime plus the fact that trading for him doesnt adress cleveland`s biggest need right now, a big |

I'm just saying don't be surprised. If Danny made the offer, then we already know he wants him and is willing to spend the team cap money. |
