I've been having a debate with my brother for some time now, and I want some of your opinions..
Who's better? Dream team or Redeem team?
I honestly think the Redeem team is the best group of ballplayers put together. But my brother says different. |

Your brother is right, Jordan, Magic, Bird. How are they not better LeBron, Kobe, and Dwyane Wade?

No question: Dream Team. I love seeing LeBron play on the Redeem Team, but I honestly think that the Dream Team may very well be the best team ever assembled in the history of modern sports.
Ever thus to deadbeats, Lebowski.

See I was thinking the same thing at the time..
But international play has gotten SO much better since 1992. So the Redeem team is playing much better competition.
And with the exception of Jason Kidd, no one is over the age of 30. So a lot of these players might not even be in their prime right now.. |

No doubt about it...the original Dream Team was the best. How can you ever match up to this roster?
Minus Laettner and Mullin all them guys are named to the 50 greatest NBA ballers of all time. Sure Kobe and LBJ will be but IMO Dream Team > Redeem Team.

Dream Team for me, it was pretty exciting back then watching that...and the Olympics seemed to mean something perhaps to me then.
Now I hardly follow the Olympics, I am just hoping everyone stays healthy and can be ready to play in the NBA in the fall. I know it's all hard work and I wish everyone who is competing the best; but today I watched part of season One of "My Name Is Earl" on DVD, and listened to music and a baseball game on the radio.

I think the competition the current team plays is better than the competition of back in the day, but either way...
The Dream Team would sorta beat down on the Redeem Team, I think.
ELLO GUVNAS!

I'm trying to look at it like this. I believe they will be a better group of ball players than the Dream Team when all their careers are up.. But I guess we'll see.. |
