Well, Snow is retired. That's for sure. The claim is about whether or not his salary counts against the cap. Even if the claim is denied Snow is still retired. At least that's how I understood it.
Jose Calderon will finally be recognized as a Top 3 PG in the league this season.

His salary definitely counts against the cap. No question there. The question is does he get traded, waived, or left as is on the roster.

Rumors are DJ3's contract is min-salary and that only the first year is full guaranteed. Still waiting to find out if it is 2 or 3 years long.

So Ferry did all this while still giving us the flexibility to still be a big player in the 2010 free agency if we so choose to. I'm still impressed by that. He drastically improved our team while still giving us many options for the future. I have to commend him.

Agreed - great job by Danny. >
Agreed - great job by Danny. > Next BIG decision: Do we trade Wally (and/or maybe Snow) with their expiring contracts - around the trading deadline - for someone like Vince Carter? That would eliminate our cap space summer 2010. I suppose that it would depend on how we are doing then. > Golfer2

I think with what Ferry has done this offseason, we are in the position that we can choose to make a move by the trading deadlin( trade wally, snow) only if it will guarantee to improve us. We don't have to take any risks and try to make a "move" to get Lebron his help. We can afford to play it safer with the acquisition of mo, and resigning all the key players, while adding some depth. I personally wouldn't want Vince Carter. I still think we need a dominant big man first before a good shooting guard but we'll have to see what happens by the deadline.

Thomas and Aldred are probably not going to make it past training camp. ESPN even lists Billy as "waived" in some places.
Cavs will probably pick up a bunch of prospects to round the training camp out to 20 players to make 4 scrimmage teams.
