Wow.  Your logic is amazing.  A 3 minute hightlight reel proves nothing, but 2 plays completely contradicts the highlights?  If you don't see the bias in your own opinion you are better than nobody.

You completely missed my point.  I used the hightlight reel, not to show that he was good, or should be a starter, but to MERELY show that he does have skills (in this case ball handling), he is just to stupid to actuallize them.  I have talked about his mental lapses many times on the old CMB.  My argument for his ability to be a solid contributor had nothing to do with the reel.

no...the 2 clips don't contradict the highlight reel...my point is that the highlight reel does not realistically portray sasha's abilities...it creates a distorted impression that he can play like that consistently...the truth is that he will never be able to consistently handle the ball.  the 2 blooper clips are a more realistic portrayal of his usual play.  those clips represent what usually happens when he's on the floor.

you say he has the skills to be a good ball handler...i say not.  just because he got lucky a couple of times and managed to do a successful drive, that doesn't mean he can do it consistently.  9 out 10 times, when he tries to dribble he turns the ball over.  how can you say he has ability?  if a guy can't handle the ball by the time he's in his 20's, the it's just not going to happen.

I wasn't trying to show his abilities with the highlights, like most seem to do around here.  I thought I was clear.  The highlight reel was to show ONE thing.  His handles, NOT his overall ability.  I never said he was a 'good' ball handler.  He's just sufficient for our needs at the SG position at this point in time and better than some are trying to portray.  I really hope we have a better option in place by the trade deadline.  I hope his long term role is as a defensive stopper that can hit a consistent 3.  I think he can do almost everything else we need out of a SG better than Zerbie or Kinsey, but not as good as we want.  I don't see him improving enought to be our final solution at the 2.  I just see him as a stop gap solution until we can trade for a more complete player or at least a great lock down defender, which he is not.  He's just better than our current options.

IMO, you are exaggerating his deficiencies.  I'm sure you disagree, so you don't have to tell me that you do.  I think he makes good decisions more often than bad.  9 of 10?  C'mon, you know your are way off base there.  I think your memory has been altered by last season's failures.  Good decisions are usually forgotten by the human brain because they are the norm and become lost among the other good decisions he and others make.  I can only guess as to why you have such an inflated estimate of his failures .  My guess would be you are upset that he and AV sabotaged our season last year.  That's fine if you want to get rid of him for that, but don't let your emotions affect your memory.  I know it's probably the most difficult of mental endeavors, but we have to try.  If we don't we are just flexing our muscles at each other.  What's the point of that?

If you are using me to attack the people who do overuse youtube to defend their points, that's fine.  I do those kind of displaced attacks, too.  You have to expect me to defend myself, though.  No worries :)

Last year does not erase the path he was on before the holdout.

I was upset when we resigned him and I will continue to be upset until he is (hopefully) packaged for a real player

sasha is a bum. i agree that he can improve this year( he has to)

but it wont reach a level where he can be considered worth

keeping.  and to actually presume that he will be this season`s

MIP requires a lot of imagination and fantasizing.
