Yes you are correct Quincy was in the 2006 draft class with Shannon. Also I read reviews that placed Spencer as high a draft pick likely to become a beast along side Greg Oden.  Salmons is alsoa nice pick-up. I recall him from his Philly days.

You guys who think Salmons is just a back up go watch some youtube video of him and check his splits for last season. The man can BALL. In 41 games as a starter, avg'ing 38 MPG he: shot 50% from the field, 38.5% from three, had 1.5 SPG, grabbed 5.4 RPG and dished out 3.5 APG, whike scoring 17 PPG. Those are outstanding stats. I think his game would fit perfectly here and if given the chance and minutes would put together a great season for us!

If Spencer Hawes is on the deal, then I think it is worth it. Hawes would have a very good teacher in big Z as well as Big Ben.

I guess it's not a bad trade. I'm not too familiar with Douby & Hawes, but Salmons was a steal for my fantasy team last year. He's a do-it-all type of 2 guard. I'd like to see us get guys who are proven/consistant players. I'd love Salmons as a replacement for Devin Brown. He'd be great in that type of role. I just keep asking myself, "Can we get more for AV & Pavs?" Sasha was a solid starter for us 2 years ago. I remember a lot of teams were interested in him. AV's one of those hard-to-find energy guys with potential. We may be able to do better. I'd probably favor waiting until the deadline to package these players with Wally.
