I could, Drew was pretty bad. Although I'm glad we saved to trade him for better. Tells you how bad Gooden's value you was, though. Which I was a little surprised by, I must admit. That season Duhon was playing not so bad.
Duhon is better, but not that much at all. He has more range than Snow, and takes a lot of threes. He's really not a offensive threat a lot like Snow. He's very streaky. He's not THAT much better offensively than Snow at all.
Eric Snow in 06-07 season. 23.5 mpg 4.1 ppg 41% fg, 0% 3p%
Duhon last year, 22.6 mpg, 5.8 ppg, 38%. fg, 34% 3pg%
I didn't say Duhon WASN'T better offensively than Snow, or a definite better shooter. Overall, his offensive game is definitely on Eric Snow's level, just a little better. He's basically Eric Snow with more range, and a little better shot. Defensively, he's good, but not as good as Snow.
They are about the same.

The Knicks don't want West, they've already invested in enough point guards this offseason.
The Cavs could use some of their big contracts (Sczcerbiak, Wallace) to foot the bill for Randolph, then take a few players from Memphis to complete the deal. Memphis has a lot of cap room, so they can add Randolph's contract while only trading away about $4M in salary. The Cavs could get involved if the Knicks would rather have Ben Wallace than a guy like Darko Milicic. I'm pretty sure that the Knicks would be willing to take Wallace for Randolph straight up at the moment to get his salary off the books for 2010, though I'm also pretty sure that the Cavs don't want to risk the chemistry problems that Randolph could bring with him.
But what I expect Memphis is looking at is trading one of their bad 3-year deals (Antoine Walker or Marko Jaric) and some other pieces (like Milicic) for Randolph's even worse 3-year deal. If the Knicks were to trade Randolph for Milicic and Jaric (3 years/$20M left), then the Knicks would be freeing up roughly $8M worth of cap space for the 2010 free agency market. It's not as good as getting all of Randolph's contract off the books in 2010, but it's a start.

Duhon? That's investing? Little Nate is a combo, even though he's as big as my foot. "Starbury" they don't even want around the team. Are they going to buy him out, or just sit him the entire year? I don't see him playing. He's a mess. Their point guard situation is a mess. I don't know if West for Lee is good enough. I would never do it, if I was New York. Lee has more value than that. West is easily their best bet at point, though.
Good point though, maybe we can fill in the expiring contract, and end up with JUST Lee/something from Memphis. Dump off Salary, and take nothing back in salary? I guess we can do that, since Memphis doesn't have cap space.
Maybe New York gets Lowry, too out of it. We throw Memphis a pick, I don't know. I'd definitely do it, though.
There's nothing I'd want from Memphis. They have nothing on their front line. I'll take something back, they don't want very much. Nothing long-term.
If we can't get Lee, forget it. They have nothing I want.

I think Knicks might want to shed cap, in general, just for 2010.
Cavs trade Ben Wallace(2 years left) to New York, We trade Sasha(one year left) to Memphis. New York trades David Lee(to use), New York trades Randolph to Memphis, they trade Nate Robinson as well to Memphis. Memphis trades us Greg Buckner(only has two years left, nothing long-term), and they trade Kyle Lowry and Darko to New York.
Cleveland gets: David Lee and Greg Buckner, sends out Ben and Sasha
Memphis gets: Zach Randolph, Nate Robinson(1 year left), and Sasha, sends out Buckner, Darko, and Lowry
New York gets: Ben Wallace(2 years left), Darko(2 years left), Lowry(better point guard with 1 year left). Sends out Zach Randolph, David Lee, and Nate Robinson.
Everyone is happy. It all works out cap wise.

I though Memphis was trying to take a step in the right direction?
A straight up Randolph for Darko trade would work with the capspace Memphis has. Plus if NYK got rid of Zachy boy, wouldnt Lee take his spot as starting PF? |

They've hinted at wanting to deal Lee, to get rid of cap space. Lee will be a free agent, that's more salary to take on.
I think the trade I proposed would be the best option, for us to get in on Lee. I have Darko and Ben going to the Knicks. Both don't tie them down with salary for 2010, which we know they are aiming for. They get cap relief.
They also get a better point guard in Lowry, with 1 year left. They have to trade Nate Robinson, but he doesn't fit in there anyways.
We take on Buckner, no long-term deal, and Lee. If Memphis really wants Zach, they also get some depth off the bench at the guard spot in Nate, also Sasha just to clear some cap. Sasha is no worse than Buckner.
Buckner stinks, so he's just filler. Lee is all I care about.
