Bold Cavs Predictions

Anderson Varejao will not be traded from the Cavs.  His level of play will be too high and too important for it to make sense to trade him.

Sasha Pavlovic will have a rebound season.  His play will be closer to the season he had in '06-07 than the horrible-ness he displayed last season.

Ben Wallace will be named starting PF to start the sesaon because MB will not have an open competition.  After the first month of the season Ben Wallace will lose his starting position.

JJ Hickson will have a comparable rookie season to Carlos Boozer.  I don't expect him to be as good stat-wise, but similar quality play.

Cavs will have their best regular season in the history of the franchise.

Please share / discuss your bold Cavs predictions.  Put your thoughts down for the record.

Do these boards have a search function?  Is there an archive function?  I want to be able to laugh/cry at these predictions months down the road.

Daniel Gibson averages at least 12ppg.

LeBron gets 10 triple doubles.

LeBron gets his first MVP award

Cavs have the Second best record in the East.

Cavs make it to the NBA Finals.

Cavs win the NBA Finals against the Hornets in 6 games.

I love your bold predictions!

Z will have another fairly good season at around 12pts/8 rebs, but will get a few less minutes and be ready for the playoffs.

Boobie will become the mainstay of, and first off the bench and be in talks for 6th man of the year, playing most of the crunch time minutes and averaging 14pts/4 assts.

Mo  will be a little disappointing, but will still be the best PG we have had in the LeBron era.

We send two players to the All Star game, and Mike Brown coaches it.

J.J. Hickson wins MVP of the Rookie/Sophomore challenge.

Damon Jones scores 24+ points against us when Milwaukee comes to town.

One of our starters suffers a major, season-ending injury, forcing Danny's hand to make a trade before the deadline.

Moondog gets suspended for one game for doing something inappropriate during a break in the action.

CavFanatic catches on, and Message Board Member night draws the largest crowd ever!  TWICE!!!

Sonic Youth comes back.

LeBron wears NY clothes to a Browns game, and is booed out of the stadium.

Hehe! Hey logically 1 or 2 of those 8 things are very possible. It's really a grab bag at this point, so pick whichever. BTW, I was looking forward to my first ever Message Board Night at the Q. Wasn't sure if they would still offer it after the closing of the Cavaliers Message Boards. My hopes are refueled though! Cool

Those are good predictions. I can't argue with them. (maybe the one about Sasha)

Here's mine:

Z will stay healthy and produce as well, or better than he did last year.

LeBron will average less points, but more assists and rebounds than last year.

The Cavs will win a championship....

Those are my bold predictions.Smile
