i would take rasho nesterovic or fyre to back up Z.....rasho may come very very cheap & he is a solid back-up for Z but what type of big do we need? a big to back up Z or a decent pf???
I think a bit of both buddy..back up for Z first in my opinion, so JJ can get more hgame time under his belt.

I actually like Zaza Pachulia he's a decent defender ,rebounder, and can hit the jump shot which is what we need although he has no post game

I gotta say this thread is off base.
- The Cavs are not actively looking to trade Delonte right now. With two PG's that are both likely to miss 15 games a year, and only two SF's and a undrafted min salary free agent for the #2 spot, the Cavs still have plenty of minutes available to keep West off the bench and on the floor.
- Even if they were looking to trade him, it would be hard because of the BYC trading rules. West would have to be bundled with another contract and it is unlike that the Cavs could get a BYC player back in return.
- Cavs are currently doing workouts for vets that are willing to take minimum salary and understand they probably will sit on the bench a lot unless there is an injury if they sign with Cleveland. Lorenzen Wright worked out for the team for example. He'd be the 6th big man on the team.
1. Just because Ferry says he wants Delonte on the team doesn't mean he's not shopping him. And he should be. He is one of the only pieces we have that may be able to net us something worthwhile before the trade deadline. IMO we need a solid rotation going into camp. Also there have been rumors swirling FOREVER about Delonte moves, AND Gilbert even said not to be surprised to see 1 or 2 MORE new Cavaliers by camp. Two SFs? try three (Wally, Sasha. Bron), one of whom is named LeBron James. I don't think we need to worry about depth at the 3! If Delonte stays on the team he would get some limited minutes at SG, but I doubt Mike Brown would put him there for long considering he likes bigger guards, and 6' 4" at the 2 is NOT big. And I really don't think he's gonna get a ton of minutes at the 1 spot because it's pretty obvious that Danny and Mike are MUCH more interested in having Boobie play that position (which I think is a terrible mistake). 2. Yes, BYC rules make it harder. It's far from impossible. I have come up with MULTIPLE realistic trade ideas involving Delonte being a BYC sign and trade player that work. Ferry gets paid big money to be a GM, I think he can figure out BYC rules. 3. I have complete faith that Danny will move some of the dead weight off this team by training camp and get us some useful talent/depth. I personally think those workouts are a last resort. But if they're not, God help us all because this team will be in dire straits if they go into the season without a decent quality 4th big man. We all know Z and Ben can't play 30 minutes a game anymore and outside of them we have the offensively and intelligence challenged Varejao, and a 19 YO unproven rookie. Sweet Jesus...

i would like to choose rasheed. so that front court team up the two formidable wallaces. i dont know whose names are on the line either (eric and/or wally and/or AV and/or sasha). with the wallaces/lebron/mo/bobie plus the gang. i think they will go 1 or 2 in the east or the finals i guess... everything is posible...
