They will probably will talk about Delontes West contract. Delonte will probably have to go with the QO even doe he wants to stay in the wine and gold : ). Aside from the offseason, they will probably see whats good at trade deadline , or they will stay with there current roster until 2010 when they can sign 2 SUPERSTARS sprry i dont have link i saw it somewhere. I dont think any1 can w8 for 2010 ^.^ but i hope everything turns out the best and we see next summer " 2008-2009 NBA CHAMPIONS CLEVELAND CAVALIERS" "LEBRON JAMES FINALS MVP" |

i hope that atlanta struggles and we can somehow aquire joe johnson at the trade deadline. his contract expires in 2010 so we can add another superstar or resign him there.

Joe Johnson is the one guy I could truly see being Lebron's Pippen. He's the only guy that's ever mentioned that has a complete game and could dominate teams on his own like Pippen could.
I don't think we'll see anything until the deadline though, and it would be a miracle to land a player like Johnson. |

i honestly think we will resign delonte to a contract. with the way the team is shaping up, maybe delonte wont push for a major contract and we can get him for maybe 4.5 a year? yeah i think it makes more sense for him to just get the QO, but maybe he wont be all about the money, but instead to help the team. i really think he would challenge wally and sasha for the starting 2 spot, and if he did come off the bench i think him and boobie can do some serious damage with the 1-2 punch. i dont know why i say this, i just kinda got a feeling that we will agree on a contract wtih delonte in the next month.
LETS GO CAVS!
IT BEGINS!

1. We will sign Darnell Jackson to a 2 year minimum salary contract. 2. We will sign Delonte West to a 2 year $9 million contract. 3. We will open training camp. 4. We will sign the best rookie in training camp to a one year minimum salary contract. Just my guesses,

Now that the Cavs have signed their Dwayne Jones replacement in Lorenzen Wright, they should probably get the Darnell Jackson situation wrapped up pretty soon. Not sure who's dragging that out. Does Darnell want more guarnateed money? Are the Cavs still hoping to trade for another big man? Dunno. But it's probably almost over.
Maybe there will be an 11th hour deal for West. I could see the Cavs and Delonte compromising on a "Sasha" type three year deal, where the third year isn't guaranteed. The problem is that it costs the team more luxury tax dollars this year and doesn't give West any long term security.
Cavs might give a training camp invite to another guard to challenge Billy Thomas, either a short fast one like Mike Green or a taller guy that can shoot, like Romel Beck. I'd be happy if either of those guys came to the Cavs' training camp. (Update: looks like Romel Beck signed in Croatia for next year http://www.e-basket.pl/News__Romel_Beck_w_KK_Zadar__47925 , so not Beck ,but someone like him )
If Snow's retirement becomes official and the Cavs waive him to clear a roster spot, I'd like to see them pick up a 7th big man. The only problem is that any young min-salary free agents that has any talent whatsoever would choose to go some place where he has a real chance at earning playing time. That's why the Cavs were able to get Kinsey. He looked at the roster and thought if there is one place in the NBA where he could work himself into the rotation, it would be Cleveland, where all the guards are under 6'3" or are small forwards playing out of position. Can't see any young center wanting to get in line behind Z, AV, Wallace, and Wright for playing time. The problem is that Wright is hot garbage and Z, Wallace, and AV are all likely to spend some time injured this year. |

I really doubt they would trade Joe Johnson unless the team was struggling AND he demanded/requested a trade. Then again Hughes was pretty good in Washington but wasn't too good in Cleveland so nothing is guaranteed. |
