While im personally not concerned whether wally or sasha gets the starting role im sure it will be wally with his pricetag that they want to shop.

West isjust too little, it wont happen. Especially with Mike Brown who always said Larry (6,6) was a small 2-guard. Delonte is 6,3, maybe a tiny bit taller. I just dont think he could guard Ray Allen, Joe Johnson, Jason Richardson, let alone Kobe Bryant or D-Wade. Sasha can be a good defender and Wally can be an average one for their position. Wally can score like an all-star and Sasha can score like a borderline starter. Its gonna be Wally.
id take sasha over wally.. wally is way tooooooo slooooooooowwwwwwww as a defender..
My problem with Sasha is he hasnt played good basketball in over a year. Nobody is denying his size or his defense and his potential to be a good scorer he just can't put it all together. He is just to careless with the ball and he has way too many turnonovers. Watching him in the Celtics series he should be used when we play teams like the Lakers, or Celtics to match up against big gaurds that can score. To give him the starting job at this point is stupid because he hasnt earned it recently.
Pavs won't have as many opportunities to make bad decisions with the ball this year. That's why we got a real PG. Most of his real blunders came when LeBron was on the bench. Pavs doesn't have to be the playmaker anymore.

pg - uncertain sg - uncertain sf - who else? pf - wallace c - Z i must say pg and sg are uncertain bcoz it depends on hu will show brilliance of their game in the preseason games and training camp im sure bron ben and z will be assured of the starting spot bron bcoz he is our main guy wallace bcoz he jumpstart our defense with his spunk and physical nature i wont start jj bcoz he is still unproven and will have rookie jitters z is z our best big man
ARE YOU SERIOUS!! Your uncertain at PG ?? We have a kid named Mo Williams now. No way he doesn't start over Boobie or Delonte.

These Are The Player That Should Have Been The First Five (IMO): PG - Mo Williams SG - Wally Szczerbiak SF - LeBron James PF - Ben Wallace C - Zydrunas Ilguaskas Off The Bench : PG - Daniel Gibson SG - Delonte West & Tarence Kinsey SF - Alexandar Pavlovic PF - J.J. Hickson C - Anderson Varejao & Lorenzo Wright Mo Williams will definitely play the PG at 1st five. Wally Szczerbiak will be a good combination in the offense with Mo Williams. LeBron James? No comment about this guy! He's so strong in the court. Ben Wallace will be a killer in the front court. Zydrunas Ilguaskas will have played better than the past season. Delonte wants to return in Cleveland and as well wants to play with LeBron.
You must be smoking something!! First of all AV may be the backup center, but he will most likely back up Wallace and Wright will back up Z. Hickson is not going to get time. If he does it will be in garbage time. He is a rookie and unless those other two guys prove to be completely incompitent Hickson will not get time. While that is your opionion, I just can't see it under any circumstance, because you have to know who our coach is by now. He will get time like Shannon Brown got time. Gibson was the only exception to this rule thus far. And I think that was more out of necessity than anything else.

if west remain a cavalier he may get the starting spot reason for this he has a better D than mo not take away anything from mo delonte proves he can play with bron and had good chemistry maybe west will start until mo gets to play well along with the team im sure mo will still have adjustments to make boobie will surelt be off the bench one more reason for mo being not a starter for me is he will be the off the spark we need for a long time.

Woah man you must be seriously high to even make a joke about anyone other than Mo starting at point. Now that hes on a contending team, Mo could end up becoming the best point guard in the eastern conference this season (leavin out Arenas because he aint really a PG). It aint even funny to say anythin different. You wanna show him all the respect and support he deserves so he becomes the world class player we need.

Hopefully there is an open competition for both SG and PF. And my preference would be that Pavs and AV won the spots. SO i have: PG-Mo SG-Pavs SF-LBJ PF-AV C-Z With Boobie the first guard and Ben the first big off the bench.

IMO, 4 positions are pretty much a given: PG: Mo SF: LeBron PF: Ben C: Z > At SG, since Mike Brown is a traditionalist in terms of starting the veterans, Sasha will probably start the first few games. If Sasha stumbles at all, look for Kinsey to move in there if he shows anything at all in training camp. > BigErie, MB will probably continue to use AV off the bench - since he is more effective that way. Remember the old cliche - "it doesn't matter who starts, but who finishes." > Golfer2
