Hopefully they let AV play PG so he can get it out of his system before the season starts. The last thing i want to see is AV trying to cross KG.
WINNING IS EVERYTHING-SILKY SMOOTH :)

That's why I like Ben Wallace. He's like AV because he's good at defence, but Ben actually KNOWS that he can't shoot or dribble, and thankfully, he doesn't even bother trying anymore. |

Is practice closed to the media during training camp? I know it's still real early, but I haven't seen any reporting on what is actually going on in camp. I suppose we'll have to wait until after the first preseason game next week to know more. |

http://www.news-herald.com/articles/2008/10/03/sports/doc48e5ad1da20fa247726634.txt Brown is excited about Pavlovic's conditioning. He missed all of training camp last year with a contract dispute.
http://boss.streamos.com/wmedia/nba/teams/cavaliers/brownshow_081002.asx Also - Danny Ferry also said that Sasha showed up to training camp 12 lbs lighter than last year. Rumor was that Sasha showed up last year at 250lbs. That means he might be down to *only* 238lbs.

Why do the Cav beat sports writers always write about the same subject? For example: Today's articles were about big men. There is very little difference in the content of any of the articles. You would think that there might be a different take about what is going on in training camp by the 5 or 6 sports writers coverig it. Is this all orchestrated by the Cavs' Media Dept? |

http://www.news-herald.com/articles/2008/10/04/sports/doc48e703389446b562321033.txt Brown looks at Jackson as a player who is a power forward who can also play some center in certain situations. Jackson said he logged some time in the middle with the national champion Jayhawks through the years.
If there was a depth chart, Jackson could be a little ahead of fellow rookie J.J. Hickson.
* Forward/center Anderson Varejao has been dropping jump shots all over the court. He obviously worked on his game over the summer. |

Training camp seems to be a big success so far. It hasn't been reported that anyone is hurt. It is good news that the veterans are being rested including LeBron. It seems that training camp is serving three purposes. 1. Decide which of the unsigne four get a roster spot. 2, Find the pecking order in the rotation. 3. Most important, to take so many players that are relatively new, including those from the big trade last year, and getting them use to the Cavaliers' systems on offense and defense. It is good that more isn't required of this Camp. |

Well they cut Allred and Dickerson, which means Dupree, Hamilton and Williams are the three left for the last spot on the team and right now, Dupree is in the lead since he got the most minutes of the three, but i expect more small ball next game against the celtics, since we can't play Z the whole game, and im not sure if Wright is gonna play since he didnt last game
well to be honest i dont see Hamilton making the team, in college he was a defensive specialist, but only being 6ft, his chance is not very high, but he is an MB type player tho, this kids defense ability is easily as good as Snow's if not even better, but having no size, he just may not pan out, but he should be able to find a D-league job easy
by Jawad Williams draftexpress.com scouting report in 04, he was a very tough and athletic player, who is a tweener (hes not an SF, nor a PF, but a mix of both) who has some clutch ability but can be inconsistant with his energy on the floor and has to improve his ball handling and shot around the rim and his hands around the rim, last years D-league stats are like this in 39.1 mpg 19.2 ppg, 43.9 FG% 34.0 3P% 79.4 FT% 4.5 rpg, which tells me has actually can shoot the ball, but he has room to improve it as well, i would like his rebounding higher, but around wallace, he can improve that
now onto Dupree, who is the oldest of the bunch, people have a lot more on, hes an athletic 6'7 guy, who hasnt shown much in the NBA yet so far, but he has his probably last shot with the cavs, so we will see |
