Cavs may be players in McDyess Sweepstakes

He'll be what Joe was last year, but even better.

God, if we land Mcdyess, Cavs fever will storm the nation. Just think about it, we will be so much deeper, and our front line will be so dynamic, diverse, and deep. THEN, we still have Wally's expiring that we can go out and get that stud player.

Man, I didnt even think about the dollar for dollar penalty lol. Almost 12mil Dan would fork over to get Mcdyess. I cant imagine him coughing up anymore money unless its a player above Antonios abilities.

Comfort the disturbed and disturb the comfortable.

Getting Mcdyess would make us that much better. We might not use the full MLE but even if we do, it's 10 million. Yes, that is still a lot, but that's why it's so great we have an owner like Dan Gilbert. He's committed to winning. We're already spending 90 some million or whatever, 10 more won't kill us. Don't forget, we might be able to get snows contract off the books, so that could negate Mcdyess' contract.

Then we still have Wally's contract. Seriously, this could be like a godsend in disguise, I am tripping on the possibilities if we can land Mcdyess. Man, if we land Mcdyess, I will know this is Cleveland's year to finally break through and win a championship again. *knocks on wood*

If we get McDyess, do you think he will be place ahead of Ben and start, or would he come in off the bench for immediate offense, kind of like Boobie?

Nope I think it would be best to have him come in off the bench. Pair him with AV....AV defends/rebounds while McDyess scores/rebounds and defends.

I'd just give him the same role Detroit gave him. Maybe start him if Ben gets hurt instead of AV.

The way West is playing right now(I know I wouldn't LOOK to trade him), but the cavs probably have a great chance of dangling Wally and West, to land something  huge at the 2 guard spot.

No way are we trading Delonte. Not a chance. Gerald Wallace isn't going anywhere besides, so its a moot point.

What makes you think Wallace isn't going anywhere? He's been on the block since the off season.

Again, I don't understand why you don't think West won't be traded at all. You got West, Gibson, and Mo. That's still a very small back court and it's going to show against teams like Boston.

If we can trade Wally at the deadline for a big time player, are you telling me you'd so no because of Delonte West being added too? I know he's playing well but he is a role player. Besides, you got to trade something to get something in return. I'm not saying I'm looking to deal him, but I would in second for a good deal.

I love West playing this well, because I think there's more of chance we can get something really good for him along with Wally's contract.

No one is giving us a big time player just for Wally. Unless they are dumb like Memphis.

Well I'm no hero, that's understood... All the redemption I can offer a girl is beneath this dirty hood.

I wholeheartedly agree. I love West's play and will be content with him in his role...his playing his heart out. But people wouldn't trade West with Wally's contract for a real upgrade at the 2? Common now. I love delonte, but he is tradeable due to our great guard situation. I love west, but would trade him for a stud.

How can you look at the Bobcats and say that anyone is untouchable? Wallace fell out of favor with Jordan and was almost traded for TJ Ford. This is gonna be a struggling team and they are gonna wanna dump some salary at the deadline. Wally gives them that, and Delonte gives them some solid D and guard play for a cheap price.

I think me and GF will cry if we got g-force lol.

Speaking of Hickson when is he going to get some minutes? Its one thing to limit minutes and its another to give him none at all. Play him now so he can be something at the end of the year...

We don't need Gerald Wallace, we need a bigman

I have no problem with moving West for the right SG, but here's a question: would you guys trade Wally and BOOBIE for the right 2-guard? (This is in the situation with us getting McDyess.) Say maybe... J-Rich? Personally, I would do that in a heartbeat. Imagine...

Williams
Richardson
James
Wallace
Ilgauskas

West
McDyess
Varejao
Pavlovic
Hickson

off the bench. Favorites for sure! Laughing
