60-22, #1 seed in the East, and a LeBron-Kobe matchup in the Finals.

Ah, if only things could work out that perfectly.  Who knows, maybe they will.  Time will tell.

We have a great start - I think we will definately surpass 50 wins - I would love to see a 60 win season, with a title.

Love the optimism on here, great to see fans with high hopes like myself.

Prior to the preseason, I wrote down 53-29 as my prediction.  I'll stick with that, but I think they might surpass that and I think we have a great shot of winning out the conference and have the 2nd best record in the East.  We'll see what happens, but I like our schedule a lot this season.

56-26. Expecting Mo to miss a week or two and LeBron to miss a week sometime during the season.

In two of the past three seasons, the Cavs hit the 50-win plateau. Last season's dip in the win column was an anomaly, due to the following factors:

  1. Holdouts of Sasha Pavlovic and Anderson Varejao.
  2. Injuries to Sasha, Andy, and LeBron (missed 7 games, lost 7 games).
  3. Roster overhaul at the trading deadline -- Drew Gooden, Larry Hughes, DJ, Joe Smith, Donyell Marshall, Cedric Simmons, and Shannon Brown dealt away for Wally Szczerbiak, Delonte West, and Ben Wallace -- disrupted team chemistry and cohesive play.

With the addition of Mo Williams at PG, the move of Delonte West to the 2G, and the improved play and depth of the bench (Gibson, Wally, Andy, Pavs, and rookie J. J. Hickson), this Cavaliers team is significantly better than the Cavs team that won 50 games and advanced to the NBA Finals after beating the Pistons in 6 games in the ECF.

If everyone stays healthy, I see this team surpassing the 60 win total, and competing against the Celtics for the Eastern Conference Championship.

My take: 61-21, Cavs advance to the ECF......an NBA title IS possible.
