Stoudemire: 'I want to be that guy'

FTA:

Asked whether he thinks about his own availability in 2010, Stoudemire didn't hesitate: "Absolutely! You have to look at those opportunities because this is a business and you want to explore every option. I guarantee you every owner will explore their options, especially when a player's contract is up. So it's the same for players. It's definitely the same for me.

"As a player, you should look at the teams you might want to play for. The city you may want to live in. The system you may want to play in. The economy. The cost of living. Everything. It's about what's best for you."

This was accompanied by this picture.

Stoudamire in NY Hat

The first thing I thought of could be easily summed up by this reader's comment.

the insiders say stoudemire, lebron, wade and bosh are all signing with the knicks. Jay-z will be the coach and mc. they will all be paid the same but the new name of the team will be the Lebrons. ESPN will soon break this story. Chad & Chris are the lead reporters. Stern has endorsed this deal as great for the league. In 2010 ESPN will ink a deal with the Knicks to only air NY or Laker games. The NBA further announced that Cleveland has lost the Cavs and their rosters salaries will still be paid by Cleveland taxpayers. (this was arranged by a socialists US goverment). Stern commented " We did this for the good of league. Some cities must sacrifice for the bailout of NY. But it is and will always be the basketball, celebrity and financial mecca of the world."

I really think Amare will use his option and sign a max deal with the Knicks in 2010. I think he will be tired of not being the clear #1 guy in Phoenix and will be so fed up with them by then he will turn his back on them to go play in NYC.

If Stoudemire wants to be that guy, does it make since for him to go to NY and play with Lebron?  Undecided I love these dumb stories.

So everyone for 2010 has to wear a N.Y. hat. I mean, LBJ's worn a N.Y. hat and now he's doing it too. Maybe all 2010 prospects love that town...lol?Money mouth
