A different team

This team is going places and is solid through the bench with some exeptions.  I am almost completely satisfied with the starting 5.  With the exception of ben wallace.  I know he has good defense but in this league and at that salary, he has to do more in offense.  Mo has been a great addition and D-West is playing his best basketball ever.  The bench is solid with andy, wally, boobie(although his shot is off for the time being), and jj hickson is stepping up.  I think pavlovic sucks.  Hes only a streaky shooter, no d, and is slow.

A couple things i noticed that could make this a championship team

1) The 3rd quarter has not been an issue at all this year.  In the past we've sucked in the 3rd and have had pressure on Lebron to make a comeback in the 4th.  This year, its just another quarter the Cavs dominate.

2) The Cavs can play well even with Lebron on the bench.

3) We are destoying the easy teams.  I know it should happen normally but in the past, the Cavs have always played down to their opponents abilities and relied on Lebron to win the game.  I remember last year we beat Charlotte something like 98-97.  This year we won 96-79.  How does destroying easy teams mean the cavs will be succesful?  Because it shows opponents that they are a strong unit and that only the best teams stand a chance of beating them

I disagree with you on BIG Ben and Sasha. I think that Big Ben is a HUGE asset to the team. Have you seen all the blocks and offensive boards he has had this season. He is HUGE and I believe him to be one of the X factors of this team. I like sasha alot. He brings alot of energy off the bench and hits his shots. He is pretty good on defense as well. He has really given some players trouble because of his defense.

give me a break

without ben wallaces health in the playoffs we basically cant beat boston

with his health this year we will beat boston

its called lock down D and its what wins in the playoffs.   did you watch the boston series , ben has no trouble handing any power forward in the nba

ya the nba this year seems to have some weak weak teams and we have played all of them lately lol

only time will tell how good we really are

Yah Ben is Def a big part of this team... he does the "little" things that people tend to overlook sometimes. Hesnot an offensive threat but he helps out a ton on the rebounding and the blocks and such.. andi know just his presence intimidates other players.

Dont worry about the people in your past... theres a reason they didnt make your future. ☮

i disagree too..and strongly believe that ben playing like he did in detroit is a HUGE chunk on why were playing the way we are this year.

he could do more on the offensive end...detroit ran plays for him all the time..90% of them were ally oops..we have a million scorers on this time..hes not a liability

we need to get rid of wally..the guy cant play D at all...i think we can get to the finals with this team..and maybe even win it all..but i think wally is way too one dimensional..

Next to West, Ben is arguably the most improved player on the team this year. His role was completley changed in Chicago and it really ruined his game imo.... he was brought into a situation that he couldn't change and he was crucified for it. Now as a cav, he is playing that same role he had in detroit... just with less minutes due to his age.

He is the defensive leader of this team.....and Ben is impressing me every game. He is unselfish and knows his role.

Ok, maybe I was a little harsh on Ben but the guy is making 14.5 million and should have some offensive game.  Hes great at getting rebounds and playing defense but cant catch Lebron's passes.  And for gods sake, the guy has to pass the ball out when hes standing under the hoop if he gets an o-rebound.  I think pr is on drugs if you think that Wallace is the 2nd most improved player on this team.

As for Sasha, the guy held out for a new contract thinking hes more than we first offered and hasnt done anything since.  I dont know how you can argue with that.  His offense is never consistent and hes always getting worked over on defense.  When he does drive, hes so slow he always gets cut off and is forced to pass.

And 123, we didnt beat Boston so your argument is irrelevant.

I never really understood why people let a player's salary mold their opinion of him.  Do we pay his salary?  Does it really effect what he means to this team?  He has a role to play on this team and he plays it very well...  VERY well.  He doesn't complain about not getting plays run for him.  He doesn't bring any negativity at all into the locker room.  He provides amazing veteran leadership to our corps of bigs.  What more can we ask of him?  A couple jump shots?  Why?  We have four other guys on the floor who can make jumpshots.  Do we ask Boobie to block shots?  Why is defense less important than offense?

Sorry.  I'm done ranting.

Big Ben is definitely the second most improved player because last year he looked like he was VERY close to retirement, but this year hes completely revitalized and full of energy. He's looking like DPOTY material again. And Pavs has proved me wrong against Milwaukee, he completely shut down Redd and hit the clutch three that took the wind out of the Bucks sails. All he needs is some more minutes and I think we'll have 2006-07 Pavs back.
