Forbes came out with annual list of most valuable NBA franchises.... Cleveland ranks one spot higher than NBA champions Celtics in value.

rankings: 1. Knicks, 2. Lakers, 3. Bulls, 4. Pistons, 5. Cavs, 6. Celtics....

.

the top three are largest markets in North America (each with a population over 10 million)... and Pistons and Cavs are only seperated by $3million in assets so are almost a financial tie.... well done Dan Gilbert! Cavs are solid on many foundations. We're in the midst of a dream come true on so many levels.

I kinda made  a post about the knicks being #1 in one of these threads. I think they are valued at lik $605 million or so.(you know how many burgers you could by with that)  I didnt see the complete list though.  The Cavs are right there with the Big Dogs.  It makes you think.

Does Brad Pitt ever worry about Angelina Jolie leaving him for Danny Devito?  If she does, she's a moron and was never that cool in the first place.

yeah, I didn't see that post...... hope this is different enough subject to warrent its own thread then.... if not the mods can lock it so it doesn't splinter conversation.

.

but to round out the actual figures: Knicks $613m, Lakers $584m, Bulls $504m, Pistons $480m, Cavs $477m, NBA champion Celtics $447m.

.

that means the only franchises worth as much or more than Cavs last season: 2 are legendary markets who had extended play-off revenues from the finals, one other is in largest market in world and owns its own stadium and television network, the 4th still is elevated by its marketing revenues from Jordan dynasty era and is in third largest city... and then Detroit which has been in the conference finals for a decade of extra marketing income and play-off revenue.... Cavs are also worth more than Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, Pheonix, Miami, Philly, Toronto, NJ to name some of the big markets we've eclipsed.

Its almost safe to say that Lebron made Cleveland a "BIG MARKET".  Also why would he want to go play in a big market if he is already playing in one.  I mean you can just see it on these boards.  We have fans from the Philippines/China/Europe/Aulstrailia.  Its obvious like Chuck said, Lebron is going to be big no matter where he plays.

Doesn't surprise me in the least.  We have the best player on the planet, a relatively new and modern stadium, great production value at the games, and a fan base that is more ravenous for winning sports than any other of it's size.  Mix in a finals appearance and taking the celts to 7 and you have a valuable club.  While I'm on our fans, did anybody see how awesome we were last night.  The fans were in the game in the fourth when we were up 40!  People were giving standing Os to JJ on those drives!  Keep it up C-Town!

where do we rank if Lebron leaves...? :(

I've changed my mind: we need Stephen Jackson. We need secondary scoring, he has a championship and is a great assist guy as well. What can we give up? Hickson, Delonte and a pick/cash should do it. Then we sign Antonio Daniels and wait for Powe to be healthy

C: Shaq, Z
PF: Varejao, DJack, Powe
SF: Lebron, Moon, Jawad
SG: Jackson, Parker, Gibson, Green
PG: Mo, Daniels, Carl

Browns: please replace Eric Mangini with Eric Berry. Thank you. Signed, an angry season ticket holder

Why would he leave, he wont gain any more money going to new york, and who would leave a championship caliber team, for one of which is a rebuilding team, if he does leave he isnt smart at all, he wont leave and thats a fact, cause hes not that stupid, and he knows by now the owner is willing to pay to keep him here, and willing to pay for better team mates, why would u leave that, hes not leaving
