Last night I tuning into the Green Bay vs. Minnesota NFL game. Many of you may have heard of this Brett Far-ver-ra character in the news lately. If you've been hibernating for the past three years under a rock, he left the Packers, then suited up in another green jersey in New York, and now sports the color purple (my favorite color) for the Vikings. I'm not going to lie, I'm a bit of a Packers fan. That is very much true now because my possibly-soon-to-be family-in-law are from the great state of Wisconsin. Now you can understand how a lot of our Just Sign It signatures are from WI. I've converted many of them into Cavs fans instead of Bucks fans... heck, they would rather shoot them with a gun anyways (the animals in the forest that is...) then watch them at the Bradley Center. But I digress....
Where I was going with this was because of Farve's legacy in Green Bay and being the lovable character that he is (or was), I feel the Green Bay Packers could be everyone's, at least, third favorite team. My loyalties will always be with the Cleveland Browns, no matter how many times they break my heart and take my lunch money. Because of my current warm climate residence in Charlotte, I put the Panthers as my second favorite team - or favorite NFC team. Long live Big Red tailgating - nice plug, huh?!? And finally the Packers because of their old QB Farve, love of cheese, and camo Carhartts; I put the Packers as my #3 favorite football team. I've actually been to a game before at Lambeau Field. I sat in the 6th row in the end zone with the lady friend and got on the Jumbotron (Refer now to the Sept 28 kbb blog of "How to be Jumbotron Famous") again! And yes I own an official cheese head, and I'm not afraid to say it. Did you know you can hold a beer very well in those hats? The make a mean chilli too at Lambeau - but with too many beans for me.
What have you all learned from all of this? Probably nothing, but what you can take away is I guess you can have loyalties to more than one team. Some may believe it, some may not. I don't believe in this myself in some instances.... for example, like rooting for the Pittsburgh Squealers.. not happening. Born in Cleveland - can't do it.. not gonna do it! Or like really wanting D-troit blank blank-balls!! to win in the NBA. I don't enjoy them either. (Good luck Big Ben in Detroit and thanks for stopping by)
So in conclusion, next time you are in Wisconsin - go down to the local cheese factory and try some cheese curds - they are to die for! And long live Farve in Green Bay... New York... Minnesota... America!
