What a great weekend in Cleveland (March 4-7)!! By the way, you're all welcome that I brought in the North Carolina skies and warm 45 degree weather to the terminal tower city. What can I say, the weekend was a success!
Started off by a crazy Friday morning getting things squared away for the big Just Sign It night.. better known as Snuggie night. I wasn't able to get into the game myself, but 1,000 of our signs did. Hopefully the good people of Cleveland waived them around like they just didn't care to support Lebron. Speaking of, what a game it was - Stucky wasn't feeling well, Lebron limped, and we had one heck of a come back. I'm glad to see the Cavs still at the top of the field. This postseason is going to be something else.
I also made some new friends, a few well know cleveland bloggers in @clevelandsaplum and @vincethepolack We met at the local watering whole while the team was passing out flyers while Metz and I were warming up.
Saturday turned into another fun in Cleveland. I had lunch with a friend of mine - local Macedonia celebrity - very kind man and cancer survivor. The day was ended by hitting up my cities favorite place, Rocknie's to grab a delicious salad. Buffalo chicken with Italian dressing. Best dressing ever!
On March 5 vs Detroit you'll probably be going to the game to get a sweet Cavs snuggie. I will be too!
But before you enter the Q, look for the Just Sign It team handing out free posters to show Lebron we want him to resign with the Cavs this off season.
Stand behind your MVP and tell Lebron to JUST SIGN IT!
Remember the last two years? Nate Robinson was in your dunk contests. That's right - you had everyone rooting for the little guy. Spud Webb was involved, you took down Goliath (D. Howard)... you had really cool lime green shoes and jerseys.
So what are you going to do this year to keep my interest? Jump off someone's back to reach the rim? Honestly - NBA dunk pickers. It was time to move on to a new dunker. Looks like Howard got the hint.
NEW DUNKERS!!
Gerald G-Force Wallace, or whatever nickname they are using for him today. (Bobcats lose all the bad nicknames - their dumb). Great pick for this year's dunk contest. That boy is great, is taking his team up the ranks, and is fun to watch. I expect him to put on a show.
Shannon 'jump out of the gym' Brown, had the Cavs kept him - which I always thought they should have - would have been nice along side Moon, JJ, and that guy named Lebron. Another great pick for the dunk contest.
As long as "we don't root for the mini Leprecon again" I think we'll have some great talent to watch and a new winner this year.
My prediction Wallace over Brown in the finals. (and if I'm wrong, the correct answer is vice versa)
Why do Boston fans it necessary to tell you how the Cavs lost to the Bobcats? I saw the game.. I get it. Sorry for winning a ton of games before that hiccup. You think your team doesn't lose at all? Guess what happened tonight - loss to ATL. ha .. ha. I don't need to hear it, hatter.
I'm going to watch my team and leave yours alone. hatters.... they're annoying.
Here is my thought of the day to the Charlotte Bobcats players. If you want to be traded from the team, sign a billboard contract with the Bobcats and Sprite and get your face plastered around town. You'll be larger than life but within a year you'll be on a new team. It's just that easy, ask Emeka Okafor and Raja Bell.
On another not I'm just stopping by to say hi and let the Clevelanders in Charlotte North Kack-a-lacki know we are tailgating for the game on Friday on 5th street right near the Bobcats Stadium. Look for the Big Red Tailgate Rescue Machine or give me a hollar on Cavafantic.
I'll be out promoting KeepBronBron.com and selling tee shirts to those who want to keep Lebron in Cleveland.
