I just finished the book today. I'd highly recommend it. Much of it is about his relationship with his father and the effect that had on his game and his life. His life was kind of sad but as a reader you were happy for him towards the end. It seemed like he didn't really find happiness until he found Christianity.

The last chapter was a tough read. It was about his two sons. The younger one was a walk-on at LSU and was treated like crap by the coach, but he stuck through it for 4 years and didn't give up.

When did you go to his camp?

I don't know how much free time you have, but considering you actually knew the guy, you could probably enjoy the book more than most other people.

I actually have a really good memory about things.

That's awesome. Let's see your picture. What was he like? I think you should make a thread about it in OT or Around the NBA. I'd love to hear more about it.

I thought of it because I am reading "Pistol" right now.

Correct me if I am wrong, but do I recall you saying once on the old CMB that you went to one of Pistol Pete's basketball camps?
