I would rhetorically ask if you ever had that dream where you showed up at school and had forgotten to put on pants when you got dressed.  I don't need to ask you, since I know you have had that dream (or actually did it)....since it's standard dream stuff.

So Friday I showed up at the graduation ceremony at Erieview Elementary....and I walked in only to discover that I wasn't wearing pants. 

So I pinched myself really hard.  Minutes later I awoke.

As it turned out, I didn't awake from a dream.  Rather I pinched myself so hard that I passed out.  Despite my quasi-awakening I realized that I was living the dream.  I had indeed forgotten my pants.

Luckily I wear my jersey long....

Embarrassed as I was, I didn't want to short-change these students in the midst of their graduation celebration.  So I sucked it up and just acted like it was no big deal.

The students were non-plussed, but a lunch lady, 2 librarians, and the music teacher fainted as I walked the halls.

As noted, it was students that I was concerned with....and they all seemed thrilled that I stopped by, with or without pants.

Perhaps I do this more often.

Dream on.....it will never happen again.
