Another night of trivia....another night of awards for the dog. In life's trivial meritocracy, I have risen and been selected Kilt Wearing Trivia Wizard of the West Side....again. In looking at my answer score card from Round 2, its clear my wisdom must be gauged in dog years, or some other really large numbering system.

I got 9 of 10 correct (and I am sure you can spot my error).
We will be back in action and I will be back dominating the world of trivia on Feb 23....which is just like 7 Mondays from now (I am guessing on that).
As you can see from my photo, I was in full effect in my new sweet kilt. Like any true man in a kilt, I wore nothing underneath. Ahmaad checked several times, since he couldn't believe I would do that. In hind-sight that was odd. Also weird to use the term "hind-sight" in this paragraph and mean "looking back".
I also should note that I had the Fish-n-Chips tonight. Um, yes. Those are nice. Highly recommended.

Today we helped open the new soon-to-be classic Hotel for Dogs at Cinemark at Valley View. Thankfully the movie was released in time for consideration for this year's Oscar's, since I think there were numerous performances worthy of consideration.
Don Cheadle is in his most gripping role since Hotel Rwanda and Reuben Garfias had a real take-no-prisoners approach to his role as "Department Store Employee".
The theater was just short of packed, mostly due to the nasty weather, but those who braved the snow were treated to not only big screen dog antics, but live dog antics (primarily by me). Cavs Hype Man Ahmaad also was there (he loves all movies about dogs) and we gave away prizes, popcorn and a pot-pouri of popular p-word related stuff. It was a very alliterative experience.
Truth be told, I didn't stay for the movie. I prefer to wait for the DVD, so I can dip myself in butter and eat popcorn off my belly in the privacy of my own dog lair. I am sure you understand. That said, the one on-line review of the movie made it seem entirely watchable.
Trivia Night #2 is on-the-way and I have been brushing up on all things trivia and trivial. Today I spent 11 hours reading wikipedia and 4 more reading back issues of People magazine.
So if you have the dog biscuits (so to speak) to take me on, I suggest your bring your B-game down to the Pub Rocky River on Jan 12th for round Two.
So mark your calendar and I will see you at the Pub. I will be celebrating out victory over the Celtics as well....as if you need additional reasons to stop out.
