Welcome to my first ever Blog here on CavFanatic.com. As I sit here with my peanut butter sandwich on toasted bread, which I believe will be a staple in my life for the next month, I thought of filling you in on what I'm doing on this final day before I head off to China to announce the basketball games at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. Can you believe it? I still can't but by Saturday afternoon I'll be in China and there's no turning back! Bags are almost packed, just have to go buy a few jars of Jif and some Power Bars cuz I don't think I'll be dining out too much once I'm there.
Once I get there, I'll be sure to keep you updated on what is going on and all the amazing things I'll be seeing and experiencing. I'll post pics, videos and keep you up to date with the hope that you'll reply and let me know what you think and, and... I think it would be awesome if you joined the fun. Write back, send comments, and seeing as I've never been to China before, maybe you can fill me in on things that I could do and/or experience if you've been there yourself. I'm really looking forward to keeping the connection with home and I'm excited that in some way, you'll be along for the ride too!
Thank you to all my family and friends back home and to my new amazing family and friends in Cleveland! The support has been incredible and believe me when I tell you, I may look like one guy working the basketball venue at the Olympic Games and walking the streets of China but I am far from being alone.
Cleveland really does ROCK!!! Thanks and I'll make you proud!
